@1eyeinrumney @CollegeOptomUK @cameronoptom @Optomegeek @philmor It would be interesting to investigate, however as you can see there were relative few 'advanced skills' that even hospital optoms could perform, hence I feel our conclusion would be the same to achieve ACP independent of setting to meet workforce demands in ageing population.

Nice. But many of those skills (9/10) are also performed by a number of community optometrists in HighStpractice.not exclusive to HES. Gonio, dynamic Ret, OCT, topography interpretation; amongst others, with and without HQ’s @CollegeOptomUK @cameronoptom @Optomegeek @philmor

@1eyeinrumney @CollegeOptomUK @cameronoptom @Optomegeek @philmor Hi Nick, only 5/10 advanced skills were performed by the 'majority' of MEH optoms for the relevant subspeciality. There are skills performed by some community optometrists (see discussion and supplementary) but not majority This info will help plan upskilling of all optoms.
