At the request of family, I’m sad to share news of the death of Anna-Brita Stenström, Professor Emerita at the University of Bergen, on 22nd December. I enjoyed collaborating with her recently and was inspired by her limitless curiosity about language. She will be greatly missed.

Had a fabulous trip to Oslo last week - a surprise symposium to celebrate Hilde Hasselgård's 60th birthday. Wonderful to meet many colleagues from the field of contrastive linguistics, including @GrangerSylviane

The weather was gorgeous and the event took place at the very beautiful Norwegian Academy of Sciences
