By standing up to Trump's murderous goon squads through peaceful protests, Minneapolis is giving the entire world a blueprint for how to oppose would-be tyrants. These protestors are putting their bodies on the line in an effort to stop this country from mutating into a full-blown fascist dystopia. Stopping Trump in this way is not only good for America, it's good for the world. The Nation's editors pointed to the "deployment of thousands of armed federal agents to the Twin Cities and a wave of aggressive raids" as having brought "unprecedented state violence Minnesota’s streets." Even so, the brave inhabitants of the city soldier on. "Two civilians, including ICU nurse Alex Pretti and mother Renée Nicole Good, have been murdered by federal officers, sparking outrage and accelerating a movement of resistance across Minneapolis and beyond," the editors wrote.
