Friends, we're ok
Funny story🤪
In the middle of the night I went to clean the cat litter box and didn’t know the cats had half-closed the door while playing with a toy mouse
Walked straight into the edge of it with my forehead
Split the skin open and had to stop the bleeding
As if the eye hemorrhage, back pain and high blood pressure weren’t enough😸😸😸

Good news.. thanks to everyone who responded with outrage at wealthy British couple, Julia and Guy Hands company’s intention to kill Aust native birds. It worked. The cull has been cancelled. @RSPBEngland @CarolineLucas
Environment Centre NT@EnviroCentreNT
HUGE NEWS! This morning, the owners of Newcastle Waters instructed management to immediately cease plans for the culling of 20,000 native corellas & galahs. When thousands of Australians speak up for our iconic nature, the world listens. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Apocalyptic scenes from Tyre this afternoon. Terrified children emerging through smoke & rubble after another vicious wave of Israeli strikes hit residential neighbourhoods.
Homes shattered. Streets buried in debris. Families running through clouds of dust carrying children in their arms. The areas struck are well-known civilian residential districts.
And still this is all cynically packaged and justified as targeting “Hezbollah infrastructure.”

@JimmyBarnes It looks lovely. It’s great to be on a verandah/ deck in the trees’ canopy.

Not the first time, not the second time, not the third or fourth time, Israel is constantly bombing Lebanon with banned phosphorus munitions, violating Security Council resolution SCR 1701, ceasefire agreement, and international law with absolutely no consequences.
If children are lucky and don't suffocate, the phosphorus burns through the tissues all the way to the bone. It cannot be extinguished.
This is another war crime and the International Criminal Court remains silent.

It is hard to believe that I found this little guy in my attic, almost dead, two weeks ago today. It was doubtful he would live, but I was determined to try, and so was he. While he was in the hospital I gave him a name: Skippy. He came home just 9 days ago, on May 05.
Now Skippy is healthy and happy. And, I’m pretty happy too! He is napping in my lap even as I type this.
