Putting aside policy, it really is striking, when you explore it, how similar pro-Putin narratives in Russia are to MAGA. "They're all corrupt" rationalization of corruption, "they all lie" rationalization of lies. Melding of performative bullying with unrelenting victimhood.

Listen closely. Putin does not mention NATO expansion at all in his explanation for why he invaded. Not once.
