@Waterstones I’d pick The Black Death…
English

@BexBookaholic Look forward to hearing what you’re reading and what you think ~ if you can drag your eyes away from the view 😍
English

@1pcornwell Oh I bet that was difficult at times! A brilliant, honest, and at times heartbreaking book. And I thought my childhood was dysfunctional 🥺

Making the audio recording for my memoir True Crime. First time I’ve ever done this with one of my books.

@Airaasayss There’s a teeny white triangle in the top of the letter A…. Or the red one…

@BexBookaholic I use Pavers and Cosyfeet. Cosyfeet are very good at helping you with specific needs. Also there are several outlets for sports shoes where you can search on width and usually older stock so decent prices. I can send you some links if you’re interested

@1pcornwell I do, sometimes… I’m reading True Crime at the minute ~ beautiful and honest… and I thought I’d had a shit childhood 😟🥺
English

@TheBookshopMan I feel your pain ☺️ it’s not my fault if Oxfam sometimes have their online bookshop with 60% off or 3 for 2 and only £3.95 postage… 🤭
English

@revgpp Thanks ~ I’ll get myself a copy I think
English

@AnneMag99 Thank you! I've nearly finished it; it's compelling & extremely well written.
English

@Waterstones I’m hoping to read London Falling when I get my TBR pile down a bit…
English

@MadelaineLucyH A intriguing to me immediately… who is the child? Who is the woman? I love Bloomsbury as a setting… museum, university, squares… I’d read that
English

Ok crunch time, what one do you want to read more:
A: 1902. A strange child is discovered in a Bloomsbury townhouse, her family vanished, and no one remembers or knows anything about them. A grieving widow becomes obsessed with finding out what happened.
B: 1632. A woman wanders into an isolated village snowed off from the world, and is offered uneasy shelter for the winter. But when young boys start dying in strange accidents, the village must decide whether the outsider is to blame.

@Waterstones Has to be Tsundoku and after reading I’ll know how to get all the other books 🤣🤣 Apart from Baldwin ~ I’ve read it and it’s brilliant

@SaffronKim Went for an interview once with the Electricity Board and they were stunned when I walked in. Job was mobile with a car ~ fantastic! The men say to each other ‘she could work in a shop and sell cookers and stuff’…. Like I was invisible which I was…
English

@SaffronKim Same ~ left school in 1976 ~ careers advisor said get a job in a bank/building society as could get a cheaper mortgage when I married… became the engineer I wanted to be though took years… stood on a careers stall once while a man told his daughter that women can’t be engineers
English

@TheBookshopMan But we need to know what you’ve bought ~ it’s important…. Ok maybe nosey is a better word 🤔🤭
English

@BexBookaholic Here if I can help in any way
