People say that as a Christian, I believe in fairy tales & then I look at those who go on about the 'Deep State', Britain being taken over by sharia law, the woke conspiracy, @UKLabour being commies & cancel culture & I think 'it's not me who believes in fairy tales...'

@aaron_p_edwards I think English politicians, whatever do love their country, however imperfectly. I'm not sure as to what the 'political establishment' are, but there's a fair amout of establishment & 'dark money' behind Reform/Restore. NB: Not 'hate', more laugh at & regard with derision.

This is why the political establishment hate him and will do their utmost to slander him into oblivion. Having English politicians who actually love their country and are willing to do what is needed to defend it just isn't "the done thing" in modern British politics.

@aaron_p_edwards Restore seems to meet some of the accepted acedemic definitions of 'far right', such as nativism & exclusionism, much as that might arouse your ire. I think it will further splinter the far right & is likely to become an electoral irrelevance, like UKIP, in the near future.

If you believe that the slow, subtle, and utterly pernicious erosion of Britain is not actually a good thing for the future of Britain, you need to do 4 things: 1. stop swallowing the embarrassingly naive liberal media consensus about the meaning of "Far Right" 2. stop caring about being called stupid names by those who remain hopelessly committed to the above 3. stop being duped by half-measure charlatans who have already betrayed their voters by merely offering a microwaved version of the above in new packaging 4. start supporting Restore Britain and play your part in actually restoring Britain The clue is very much in the name!
Rupert Lowe MP@RupertLowe10

Restore Britain is under brutal assault by the establishment. Listen to me when I say this - they want us gone. Everything will be thrown at us - false allegations, dishonest polling, media hysteria, vile personal attacks. They’ve already tried to put me in prison. It will all keep coming and coming. It is going to get a lot worse, the more support we gain. The establishment is getting very nasty with us. Good. It shows we are making progress. Ask yourself why? Why do they want to destroy us? Why do they react with such fury whenever ordinary British people begin organising outside their control? Because Restore Britain is not going to merely reform the establishment - we are going to destroy it. The system will be dismantled, the state will be torn apart and rebuilt as one that serves the people it always should have done - the British people. The permanent Westminster machine that has grown rich and comfortable while Britain became poorer, weaker, more divided and less safe is biting back. Is that any surprise? All-powerful bureaucrats who have lived the most comfortable life for decades in shadowy Westminster corridors will have it all taken from them. Many will even go to prison. That’s what will happen if Restore Britain takes power. They do not want that. They will do everything to stop that from happening. We are already seeing it. Reform, the Tories, Labour. With them, it all continues - their club is safe. Different slogans. Same people. Same outcome. Same decline. Is it any wonder they hate Restore Britain so much? The establishment understands it can accept a turquoise blue. Control it, use it. They know they can’t with Restore Britain, and that is why they want us removed. Because we are not here to ‘reform’. It is too late for that. The country is too far gone. The old political consensus is dead. The system has failed too many people, in too many places, for too long. We are here to restore Britain itself its borders, its safety, its confidence, its freedoms, its competence, its sense of who we are. And no amount of smears or intimidation will stop us doing that. Makerfield will show Britain the way. If you want change. And I mean real change, radical change, unprecedented change. Join us. Join the party. Join Restore Britain. Get your country back.

@JohnBaldLangLit @OliverKamm She's undoubtedly got results & many children's lives have been turned around because of her. I felt that she seemed to use that as a platform to indulge in the culture war & I felt that the way she talked about 'my staff' a little overbearing, but I take your point about abuse.

At yesterday's Unite the Kingdom rally one speaker said: "It's not too late to get Islam out of that building (Parliament)" "It is not to late to get Islam out of every single official office in this country" "It is absolutely vital, if we want to save this country, we have to remove Islam from every single place of authority" If these comments were directed at British Jews, they would rightly dominate headlines nationwide, because antisemitism is wrong. Anti-Muslim rhetoric should be treated with the same seriousness and scrutiny.

Dear @DavidLammy, let me explain how the real world works. A person is given a job on a fixed-term contract. When they start work, it turns out they are rubbish at the job. Let me tell you what then happens: THEY GET FIRED. This situation is far worse: one, it’s the country, and two, you’re all useless at it. General election now. There is something especially embarrassing about watching the Prime Minister of Great Britain attempting to sound like a Churchillian "defender of the nation" by talking about protecting the "diversity" (read: Islam) which threatens the future of our nation, and denouncing actual patriots like @TRobinsonNewEra who have bravely stood up against it. There is no shame in the British people wanting Britain to remain Britain. There is no shame in refusing to capitulate to multicultural ideology actively eroding the foundations of this country. The British people never voted for Islam. It is not a part of our island's story. Yet Islam now floods British society, gaining a greater political foothold year by year, election by election, boat by boat. Ironically, the greater the foothold of Islam in Britain, the less "diverse" Britain will become. It would seem either Starmer refuses to see it, or he doesn't care. Either way, he is wedded to "defending" his "inclusive" ideology, even if it means literally excluding swathes of the very British people which his office exists to serve. This is national folly of the highest order, on the grandest scale, and it's increasingly painful to watch. How long will the British people have left to say stand up against it?

🚨 WATCH: Keir Starmer says he will block "far-right agitators" from travelling to the UK for Tommy Robinson's march on Saturday "We will not allow people to come to the UK to threaten our communities and spread hate on our streets"

We’re really sad to say that our brilliant colleague and friend, Dave Llewellyn, has passed away following a short illness. You may know Dave best as being the voice of traffic and travel in the region for more than 20 years, as well as co-presenting a popular gardening show on Sunday mornings before becoming an excellent producer at BBC Radio Tees. We send our love to his wife, Ange, his daughter, Amy and all of his friends and family. You’ll be missed, Dave 🙏❤️

Are the poets still here? I'm ambivalent (to say the least) about being here, but something nags me back every so often. Perhaps nostalgia for 2006, but that's no basis for action. Perhaps a vague sense that writers are still using the platform as insurgents. Why are *you* here?

People making brief statement about Sam Albery do some heavy lifting, giving views on exactly what happened, current state of his heart, how we're supposed to respond, what was wrong or right about his theology etc. I think quiet, humble reflection and prayer more appropriate.

@_F_B_G_ I don't like the hereditary principle & as someone on the left was generally opposed to the Lords: now I'm starting to value its mature wisdom. This was a bad bill & more concerning was how its proponents treated anyone who said 'I'm not sure' as an opponent.

@MonkEmma Thank you; this is so common & it is infuriating. I track @CConcern - who manage to get articles placed in many of these media sources- there's often a very selective ' anti- woke' take on tribunal judgements to get a headline.

Was this GP struck off just because he asked a Muslim woman to remove her veil? How likely does that sound? 🤷‍♀️ Did he actually ask her to remove her veil 'because he was struggling to understand her?' Let's take a look at what really happened based on the tribunal reports... 🧵 1/25
