Since my cancer diagnosis in 2017 (recurrence in 2021) I've had 3 surgeries, 12 organ resections, 2 stoma formations, 2 heated chemo treatments, 7 rounds oral chemo, 6 rounds IV chemo, several PEs & multiple bowel obstructions. I still have cancer but today I started a new job 😊

ON @BBCPanorama tonight - the story of Paloma Shemirani, a young woman with an 8cm lymphoma inside her chest, and an 85% chance of a cure with chemo. Her mother Kate, a nurse and conspiracy theorist convinced her to do Gerson Therapy (juicing and enemas) instead. A few months later, Paloma died from a heart attack caused by the growing tumour. @mariannaspring and her team expose this case and the worrying trend of cancer patients turning to alternative cures that do not work. I was interviewed for the program, as I have researched a lot of these so-called cures for my book 'The Cancer Roadmap' We need to raise awareness of the dangers that follow when you get your medical advice online

Sad to hear of @AngelaPMPS passing. A kind & caring lady who helped so many in the @PMPSurvivor Community. She campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness of #Pseudomyxoma & #AppendixCancers & supported the aims of @acpmprfresearch to find a cure for this #RareDisease R.I.P 💔🙏
