He was preaching, singing hymns and pop songs adapted to a Christian message. Pastor Maile, a grandfather with no criminal record, was arrested after briefly criticising Islam and LGBT lifestyles while preaching, something he says he has done peacefully for decades. Footage shows multiple police officers converging on him within seconds, placing him in handcuffs in full view of the public and his family. The conduct of a tiny minority in the House of Lords who have used every tactic imaginable to make sure the Assisted Dying Bill fails has been awful. I have long believed the Lords is simply not fit for purpose as a second chamber. This has cemented my view hard, and I imagine will make others realise just how ludicrous our legislative systems are. Sad day.

Corruption in Ukraine. 2 days ago Zelensky appointed new head of SBU in Kharkiv region - Denis Lytiy. Over the past few years his family purchased real estate, cars, and motorcycles worth more than $1,000,000. His salary is about $800. No one in the family has ever been in business. The system works on loyalty and obedience, not integrity and professionalism. SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) works on money, not Ukrainians.
