Why I prefer NASB/ LSB/ DARBY over KJV for Revelation 5: 9-10. #Revelationdevotions God created man in His own image and likeness, granting him free will. When man disobeyed God, all of humanity became sinners due to Adamic sin. ( Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23) To address the ultimate problem facing mankind, God devised a solution through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is the GOSPEL. It’s crucial to understand that God’s plan of salvation is exclusively for fallen humans, not for angels or the animal kingdom. While we can cherish our pets during our earthly existence, they won’t accompany us to heaven. The text presents two distinct groups: 1. Four living beings: These are most likely Seraphim’s, as they possess six wings (Revelation 4:6-8) and their worship pattern aligns with that of Seraphim’s in Isaiah 6. 2. Twenty-four elders: These are likely representatives of the New Testament church, including the twelve apostles. The reason for this belief is their white robes and crowns. By this time, the church had already been raptured, and the dead in Christ had been resurrected. However, God’s dealings with Israel are yet to come (Revelation 6 onwards). The resurrection of the Old Testament saints and their rewards will occur just before the final judgment, which is the Millennial Kingdom. (Daniel 12:2, Revelation 20:4-5) Please compare the KJV translation of the text with the NASB. “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10 KJV Remember, the four living creatures are angelic beings and cannot sing songs of redemption. Therefore, the KJV translation is incorrect, and the “us” and “we” are not present in the original manuscripts. The 24 elders can sing the songs of redemption. However, God’s work of redemption is far greater than their own redemption, and they celebrate and declare it alongside the four living beings. They are amazed as they celebrate Christ’s incredible redemption for the vast number of the redeemed. If you’re a KJV-only believer, you might miss this crucial point. This is why we need to use multiple translations if we genuinely want to comprehend the truth of God’s word. Remember, the Bible is the inspired word of God in its original format and manuscripts. Every translation has its limitations, including the KJV, which is undoubtedly one of the best. Let us express our gratitude to God for His amazing redemption. We were not worthy of this honor; we did not deserve it; we did not earn it. It is freely given to us for everyone who acknowledges their own sinful state and seeks salvation through Jesus Christ. No religion can save you; only Christ can.

Scheduled X Live Space Monday August 3rd, 7pm 2026 Topic Bible Studies Can Be Amazing Click the Link Below, Save The Date x.com/i/spaces/1wxWj… Genesis 3 Challenge Last week we started a bible study Just Like the Bereans that challenged Paul and came to faith. Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Last Week, I presented a position with 3 pillars, this is a presentation to review regarding Adam and what he might have known and not known when eating the fruit. This is a position only, somewhat substantiated by Hebrew Scholars and mentioned by Paul in Timothy! This type of study can be somewhat frustrating to some, regardless it can be fun for some of you. This may not be something you like, thats perfectly ok really! I knew this when I worked on it! If it gets you too frustrated, please do not do it this way. We will do others studies at another time. Here is the potential theory that Adam was clueless. They are as follows: Theory Pillar 1: The Apostolic Verdict (1 Timothy 2:14) Paul explicitly states that Adam was not deceived [1 Timothy 2:14]. If Adam had been physically standing right next to Eve watching a talking serpent call God a liar, he would be equally deceived by the event. Paul's inspired commentary legally and psychologically separates Adam from the scene of the temptation. Pillar 2: The Courtroom Testimony (Genesis 3:11-13) When God cross-examines Adam under oath, Adam testifies, "The woman... she gave me of the tree, and I did eat." God accepts this timeline at face value. He never asks Adam, "Why did you stand there silently and let her do it?" Instead, God immediately turns His interrogation directly to Eve. We see the plain-as-day evidence in the response after Adam ate the fruit, not before when Eve ate. Pillar 3: The Summary Structure & Historical Case Law Genesis uses a "summary-then-detail" structure (just like Genesis 1 and 2). Genesis 3:6 is a condensed snapshot. The phrase "with her" ('immāh) does not track Adam's real-time physical GPS coordinates at the tree; it describes his relational status as her permanent covenant partner in life. (I am adding this) It that statement is by some referrered to as a prepositional phrase. The Josephus Substantiation: This is backed by ancient Hebrew case law. The 1st-century historian Flavius Josephus explicitly records in Antiquities of the Jews (Book 1, Chapter 1) that the serpent spoke to Eve alone while her husband was absent, and she only brought the fruit to Adam later. Classical rabbinic commentaries (Bereshit Rabbah) also conclude Adam was occupied elsewhere in the Garden during the temptation. The Ultimate Home Run: Bridging to Romans 8 on the day of the Fall, Adam did not drop dead physically; he died to the fruits of the Spirit and entered absolute carnal darkness. As Romans 8:7 proves, the carnal mind is hostile to God and completely cannot submit to His law [Romans 8:7]. Darkness cannot generate light; therefore, Adam was completely unable to generate his own repentance. God Himself has to grant repentance and give the power "to will and to do" [Acts 11:18, 2 Timothy 2:25, Philippians 2:13]. The Power, Jesus did not come just to give us new rules. He came to bring zoe—Abundant Life (John 10:10). He came to breathe the Holy Spirit back into the dead, carnal clay of humanity, completely reversing the death of Adam through the resurrection power of Romans 8:11! NIV There it is, Monday, the counter argument or at some point. Did it influence or does your verdict need time to contemplate. There is more but for now have fun. Monday will be hard for the others that may support the other side. Please this is done in love. We are not required to be scholars, don't get frustrated. This is a great opportunity to learn patience and long suffering and how to love others and communicate. The alternate views get a fair shake, keep in mind we may do part 3 :) God bless you all, may we become excellent at having peace in conversations. The world needs this example and we can do it!
