A lot of "classical" Reformed bros on here are complaining about things Jay said about Calvinism in his interview with Tucker But I don't see any of them making their own YouTube platforms, doing debates or getting on major podcasts. All they do is complain in their twitter and discord bubbles. I personally think it's cuz they're all in conservative retreatist denominations, and that the retreatist mindset extends even to how they interact online.

Change in covenant participation establishes union and ontological transformation.

I realize this episode just dropped, but has any Reformed person posted a response to this? I don't mean, "No, Luther didn't cause boys to box girls," I'm saying the stuff about "According to Calvinists, you're not changed ontologically, it's just an adjustment of God's disposition toward you." I get why he thinks that's true, but I've never heard an actual fan of Luther/Calvin say that.

@BobMurphyEcon Oberman is a Lutheran who argues that Luther’s theory of justification is nominalistic. Jay cites him all the time. On ontology, I’ve never seen a Calvinist argue that justification was ontological. Merely a legal change from wrath to grace. Interested to know your thoughts.

Born and raised Lutheran, went to Lutheran school, etc., but I don't have a clue as to what he's talking about... Maybe Calvinists, idk, but he said something else false about Lutherans before too...
For anyone interested, Lutherans aren't "protestant" in the American sense. We're standard Nicene Creed believers, closer to Catholic and Orthodox than anyone else. Luther was a Catholic Priest, after all. His beef was with the church, not the faith.
Rothbard wrote about German Lutheran and Irish Catholic immigrants during the Progressive Era, closest any historian has come to the personal stories my grandparents shared. He got the theology wrong too. I don't hold it against him. Religion is personal, not intellectual.

I need y’all to weigh in on this.
This happened in Okeechobee Florida.
A verbal argument between neighbors.
One set of neighbors chase a man into his home. Then they refuse to leave the property and wait outside his door.
The homeowner comes out with a gun and shoots the other man, who later died from his injuries.
The homeowner was charged with murder. No bond.
This happened in April 2025, so I’m not sure if anything has changed since then.
Good shoot? Bad shoot? And why.
