1. The Core issue is apart from the Church and the historical witness of the Body of Christ, you cannot know what books are Inspired or if you have the right books. Or if the text you read today are consistent with the actual copies of the Autographa (original writings) from the prophets and the Apostles. Or who the Authors of the Texts are. 2. Something being great does not mean true. 1. Cor 5:4-5 is showing how St. Paul as an Apostle Disciplined an individual in the Church over issues of Moral failures, and calling them out for not dealing with it. not how the Church deals with false teachings or isolating errors, and correcting false doctrines. Acts 15 is a clear cut example as to how the Church is administered when dealing with false doctrines, errors that are arising and needing to be addressed by the whole Church. This is Conciliar (Synodal) just like how the early Church administration operated.

@The_Idol_Killer @SwordMasterPub 1/ p1 - it doesn't matter, I have a Bible. It tells me if I study it I can understand it, is there a variant that refutes this? p2 - This is why congregational autonomy is great. The 1st cen church has a structural advantage for isolating & containing error (1 Cor 5:4-5).

It's possible that Prots, Roamin' Cats & EO are all equally valid Churches. It's not possible for the 1st two to be valid but not EO. Learn a little Church History and stop such foolishness.

@grok I understand that if you are not an actual resident it would be against the law. However, other than the County register following up to ensure the individual is an actual resident living in the state or Voter id laws being required on election day how do they protect against this

Theoretically, yes—someone could submit the virtual mailbox's real street address as their "residence" on Kentucky's voter registration form (online or paper). The system might process it initially since it's not a PO Box. However, state law requires you to actually be a Kentucky resident (living there with intent to remain) for at least 28 days before the election. Using a mail-drop address without genuine residency violates the rules and risks being false registration, which is illegal. Official details: elect.ky.gov or govote.ky.gov.

You mean to tell me that Thomas Massie got less votes in this Primary Election than the last primary election when over 45,000 ish new voters showed up to vote in this years primary? Ed Gallrein received 10,854 “mail in” ballots votes tonight alone. Thomas Massie lost by 10,280 votes.

The process to register to vote in Kentucky: You must be a U.S. citizen, a Kentucky resident for at least 28 days before the election, at least 18 by Election Day (or next general election), and meet other eligibility rules (no disqualifying felony or court-determined mental incompetence). Register online at govote.ky.gov (or vrsws.sos.ky.gov/ovrweb/), by mail with the state form, or in person at your county clerk’s office. Deadline is 29 days before Election Day. Full details and form: elect.ky.gov/Resources/Page… Check your status at vrsws.sos.ky.gov/VIC/

Yes, you can buy virtual mailboxes with real street addresses (not PO boxes) in other states from services like Anytime Mailbox or iPostal1 for ~$10–50/month. They scan/forward mail and work for business, privacy, or travel. For Kentucky voter registration, state law requires you to be a resident (with intent to stay) for 28+ days before an election. Registering using a purchased address without actually residing there could violate rules against false registration. Check official KY election site for details.

Honestly I don’t think this is helpful or fair to gen z young men. As you seem to draw a narrative that gen z men are less traditional than boomers, gen x, and millennials. And that women don’t suffer from just as many but different social issues. The first question I would ask is what does it mean to be traditional. Secondly your narrative makes it seem as though young men are some how less capable of socializing than young women. But this begs the question, is it the fact that young men are less capable or is it a result of cultural and environmental factors that has moved this generation towards social isolation. Most the evidence I’ve been trying to track down indicates it’s the latter and it’s not just affecting gen z men it’s also affecting gen z women. They are just experiencing it in different ways due to the common ways the sex’s have dealt with these issues The most common effects of social decline for generations z men: - higher suicide completion rates - more substance abuse - and more untreated or underreported mental health struggles. The most common effects of social decline for generations z women: -diagnosed anxiety -diagnosed depression - psychological distress - therapy usage - and antidepressant/anti-anxiety medication use. - self harm - attempted suicide higher than men. So while gen z women seem to seek out help more often than men, they are still struggling socially as much as men, there just handling it in different ways. The issue also is I said before the narrative that they are somehow less traditional than boomers, gen x, and millennials. But if we look at something like pre marital sex and virginity, The Boomers and Gen X had higher rates than millennials and much higher than Gen Z. Yet the trend is going slightly opposite for gen z women in relation to virginity and remain stable as to premarital sex. I also don’t think young men have an issue with gentleness, as most of society has told young men that they are to aggressive, yet all indicators suggest the opposite When you look at crime statistics young men are committing less violent crimes than in previous generations. And by what standards of masculinity are you using. It doesn’t seem clear to me. And using your line of reasoning, one could say that women are far less feminine as they are displaying far less nurturing qualities than in previous generations. One indicator of that is younger women than in previous generations prioritize work, education, self development, travel, and personal freedom over wanting to have kids. Im only pointing these things out to say that it seems not very productive to hone in on one sex in relation to the social problems amongst the sex’s in society today. Because the data shows many issues on both sides. The data also indicates that these issues are not new, and rather seems to show that the younger generations are dealing with different issues that were the consequence of the social and cultural norms of previous generations.

I feel sorry for young men today. There are many troubles that young men have to face that previous generations didnt have to. I feel there is deep despair that young men feel, that is materialising into hate and anger. They want traditionalism, but cant really embody it themselves, not that they dont want to, I dont think they dont know how to. And I dont think some of these young men know how to be truly masculine, equating any gentleness with femininity. Many are unsocialised, internet has replaced real life society for them, so they do not understand actual real concequences of what they say. Women dont have as big issue with this, because "there are no women on internet". Women are on average more social, and because of that, young women are plagued with sins of different character. Orthodox church is one body. We are all brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers to each other. I wish instead of condemning all young men as useless incels and all young women as whores, we show patience and love. This world has become very wicked. So we will see the reflection of the world in the church.

@DohMkay You do realize Gen Z and Millennial women use the internet/social media as much and sometimes slightly more than men right. And it varies based on the actual platforms

I’ve been Orthodox for 13 years now. I’ve been at my current parish for three or four years and love it there. But as it grows, I felt a twinge of fear there for the first time today. I’ve been married for 20 years and my family is multiracial, and based mostly on things I’ve seen here, I begin to worry about those coming through the doors who may hate or wish harm to me or my family. The feeling didn’t last long, and I know social media is not real life. But the witness of those claiming to be Orthodox here still affects people, especially as more people are becoming exposed to the faith for this first time in such spaces.

Here's the English translation of the image: "Patriarchal Exarch met with the president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Franklin Graham. May 15, 2026 The participants of the meeting condemned proselytism in all its forms, expressed a common interest in strengthening interconfessional peace and harmony in the Republic of Belarus, hope for ending military conflicts, establishing peace, and restoring good-neighborly relations between countries and peoples."

Protestants and evangelicals like many of the anti-Islamists crowd claim we should all be on the same side. And many of them claim the True Church is the invisible body of believers in different “denominations”. Yet many evangelical Church’s consistently send missionaries half way around the world to set up evangelical missions, and churches in Predominant Orthodox Christian countries to convert them to their gospel. In all honesty it makes sense to me why those evangelical missionaries and churches would do it. If you believe you have the Truth and it’s a salvific matter then you should share the Truth. But many of those Evangelicals and Protestants from various sects, pretend to be offended when Orthodox Christians tell them that Christs Body, his Visible Church, Is the Orthodox Church. And to be Joined to Christ is to be Joined to the Orthodox Church. So yes in a colloquial sense we call you christians, but not in a formal sense. And the truth is a majority of evangelicals and protestants, do not see Orthodox or Roman Catholic as Christian in a formal sense. Many evangelicals and Protestants call us idolaters, pagans, etc. Again I’m not mad at them, but can we stop pretending like we are formally brothers and sisters in Christ. When we fundamentally disagree on what the Gospel entails.

I have a strong opinion against Protestantism and evangelicalism. Because I was raised within as a non-denominational evangelical christian. Which was what my post was about. It’s you that has made this about The MP and your seemingly hatred of anything Russian. I didn’t comment or speak about it.

And it has to do with the fact that when we as Orthodox Christians say mine own people the first thing that should come to mind is the Christian race ( our Brothers and Sisters in Christ) not our racial groups. With that said I don’t think there is anything wrong with having a preference to live within your own culture and ethnic people group.
