
1. The Core issue is apart from the Church and the historical witness of the Body of Christ, you cannot know what books are Inspired or if you have the right books. Or if the text you read today are consistent with the actual copies of the Autographa (original writings) from the prophets and the Apostles. Or who the Authors of the Texts are.
2. Something being great does not mean true. 1. Cor 5:4-5 is showing how St. Paul as an Apostle Disciplined an individual in the Church over issues of Moral failures, and calling them out for not dealing with it. not how the Church deals with false teachings or isolating errors, and correcting false doctrines. Acts 15 is a clear cut example as to how the Church is administered when dealing with false doctrines, errors that are arising and needing to be addressed by the whole Church. This is Conciliar (Synodal) just like how the early Church administration operated.
