I’m on my way to Cuba for an emergency 3-day visit. I’ll be delivering medical aid to a children’s cancer hospital and joining an international delegation of MPs opposed to Trump’s new ban on any fuel entering the country. This cruel policy is putting lives at risk. It is an inhumane attempt to strangle the Cuban people. And Trump is even threatening that Cuba could be “next” after Iran. We must take a stand.

The US is suffocating the Cuban people with its criminal and inhumane blockade. We cannot sit idly by. That’s why we are mobilising to Cuba, bringing critical humanitarian aid for its people. Honoured to join this historic mission with @ProgIntl.

Hope it is dawning on people that we need to electrify transport ASAP. Need a national plan to do this. For national resilience, sovereignty and security. Heavy vehicles are the hardest and most expensive. But we have to try. Suggest we look at China’s policy and actions.

Norway - sells oil & gas, but uses electricity mainly from renewables. 97% of new cars are electric and heat pumps are main source of heating. They're barely affected by what's happening in Iran. Their electricity costs going up 17%, ours going up 60% because we are so much more dependent on gas.

The Middle East conflict is stress testing global energy. Bloomberg sees oil at $108 in a severe escalation. We have seen this before. The difference now is that solar and batteries are more cost competitive. Every fossil fuel spike strengthens the case for renewables.

These aircraft should not be allowed to land on British Soil. Over 1000 civilians dead already after illegal war started by the US and Israel - and all this with no vote in the UK parliament about our role.

The events of the past 48 hours have laid bare Keir Starmer's utter inability to stand up to Donald Trump - and this weakness could have serious consequences for the safety of British people.

Really concerned to hear the Defence Secretary refuse to rule out UK's involvement in future strikes on Iran. Iraq lessons must be learned. Further escalation in the Middle East makes us all less safe. Starmer must rule out UK involvement immediately.

This is an illegal, unprovoked and brutal attack that shows once again that the USA and Israel are rogue states. The UK must end our cosy relationship with the USA and our ongoing support for Israel.

Our friends are under arrest since February 3. Big moment for Europe: in December, fully electric cars outsold petrol-only cars in the EU for the first time. This shows that clear, consistent policy works. Which is exactly why backtracking now would be a mistake.
