Let’s look at recent major hacks:
▫️ Bybit ($1.5B lost)
Got an emergency package thanks to size, reputation and $300M+ annual revenue
→ Continued operating almost immediately
▫️ Cetus ($220M lost)
$162M was frozen and recovered. Sui Foundation stepped in with a ~$30–50M secured loan
→ Cetus was back after a 17-day pause
▫️ Drift ($200M+ lost)
Drift lost 50% of its TVL. This is the second incident (after a ~$25M hack in 2022)
With an estimated revenue of ~$7M/year it's unlikely to get fundings and flash loans...
Also unlikely so far that Solana Foundation would step in at this scale
Drift can continue but rebuilding trust will be a huge challenge
We’ll need to wait for a final post-mortem for more clarity
But tough moment for Solana, DeFi and especially all users affected

Iran's military is finished, they have nothing left, they can't fire weapons, their boats are sunk but just as Israel needs America's support the most they managed to smuggle drones armed with 200lbs of explosives to San Francisco.

I’m incredibly happy to have left Dubai and managed to get a flight out a few days ago.
Never expected something like this to happen, let alone watching a drone strike the Palm from my apartment.
Over the past week Iran launched 1,500 drones and nearly 250 missiles at the UAE.
Iran launched more drones at the UAE than Israel, and the UAE weren’t even the ones attacking them.
The UAE’s air defence did an incredible job protecting everyone, with extremely high interception rates for days.
But realistically there’s only so long that can continue.
The uncertainty around interceptor stock and what the Iranian regime might do next made staying there an incredibly stupid decision.
I don’t see any good reason to remain in Dubai while this continues and could last for months.
Hopefully things stabilise soon, this war ends and I can return eventually.
Sad to see Gulf countries getting pulled into a war that has nothing to do with them.
No one is safe with drones and missiles overhead, don’t let people fool you otherwise.
