Your own LLM understands and recommends restitutive/remedial measures to address structural disadvantages as a result of past legalised discrimination. Under Art 1(4) of ICERD remedial measures do not constitute discrimination. Additionally laws such as BEE equally apply to black companies such as Royal Bafokeng which though owned by a biologically black community found itself not sufficiently black empowered and worse off than majority white owned companies a few years back. @GodPenuel And obviously I have time to focus on myself doing things I actually enjoy working on my fitness and health. Obviously we had to work out a financial plan for this but it has really been worth the change. But other woman might really enjoy working and that is fine too.

@GodPenuel I am a stay at home mom now, and it's honestly the best decision my husband and I made. I have time for my children I can focus on thier schooling focus on what's going on in thier life. It has improved our marriage we actually have real quality time and time alone.

We need to talk about working moms. Urgently. Women are drowning. I know the capitalistic system intentionally empowered women so it can get more labourers, saturate the labour market, lower wages, have more taxpayers, break up families, have broken couples & single people buy/rent more properties, isolate the kids away from the parents, etc... ...but, my post is about: working moms are struggling, & we need solutions. More (affordable) boarding schools? Groom working fathers to be deputy moms? Many working women are joining the childless movement? Cheaper nannies? Ship kids to grandparents? Township kids are raised by the streets? Village kids are raised by neighbours? No kids? Contraceptives? Housewives? Househusbands? I'm writing about a very deep topic with many layers; and I'm going to try & raise it as much as I can on different public & private platforms. What's the solution for urban working parents, & especially mothers, who are fatigued by their careers plus being parents... 💔

@PinketteXO Now for me providing financially is the bare minimum I learnt you have to provide emotionally too, teaching our kids that thier value is not in what someone can do for you financially but by how they treat you how they respect you and make you feel.

@PinketteXO It's the evolution of parenting, I'm a millennial, my grandparents grew up with very little they could only teach my parents that you need to provide financially for your family. My parents thinking that's all you need to do thought they where doing great, which they were,

The real problem is, most of us were raised by parents who were just surviving so they taught us survival, not life. No one sat us down to explain how debt works, how to self soothe, how to say 'no' without guilt, or how to walk away from love that hurts. We weren't shown what emotional safety looks like, we were just told to keep the peace, suppress the feelings and work harder. Now we're adults paying bills on autopilot, spiraling in relationships, mistaking burnout for success and calling anxiety our personality. Lost, overwhelmed and wondering why we feel broken when in reality, we were just never taught the basics of being whole.

We do not seek your approval for our path. Our path is our own, chosen by our people and guided by our sovereign laws. But we do seek, and we will always extend, a hand of respectful partnership.
