As with much of the season, think the psychology/approach Arsenal argument obscures a simpler truth. Have better technical players available and guess what you can play better football! There's a delta between Martinelli and Gyokeres (from Bournemouth game) and Odegaard and Eze.

Shows how bad Watkins form has been. Solanke and Calvert-Lewin in the England squad ahead of him. Looks like Trent has no chance of going to the World Cup. James injured and he’s still not in. Otherwise squad looks fine, no major issues. Think if everyone is fit, 9/11 starters are pretty much locked. Pickford, James, Stones, Guehi, Hall, Anderson, Rice, Kane, Saka. I think Bellingham will end up in, and probably Gordon on left but Palmer, Foden, Rogers, Rashford will all have something to say. Maybe harsh on Konsa, but I think if Stones is fit he’ll start. Think Hall is just the best left back we have so should be a starter if he remains fit.

My overarching view (and I appreciate it’s not universally accepted, let’s face it, nothing is on here anymore) is that the daylight rule would be superior to this. I don’t feel you should be offside by a toe or a nose, if you’re level, you’re on. That’s basically what it was before VAR and I think it would be better.
