🚨 New research led by @WillHawkins3 @oiioxford reveals a surge in publicly available deepfake image generators with nearly 35,000 model variants downloaded almost 15 million times since late 2022. Many are used to create non-consensual explicit images of women.

📈🔥 This year's State of Wildfires report, co-authored by Dr Doug Kelley of @UK_CEH , says that climate change made the hot, dry conditions that promote fire at least 3x more likely in Canada, 20x more likely in Amazonia, and 2x as likely in Greece in 2023-24.
