Yesterday's rainfall wreaked severe damage on the diversion around a bridge in my hometown of Ahwiam. The road is currently under construction, and a new bridge is being constructed to replace the failing one. The contractor had created a diversion as an interim measure, which was flooded. Last night and this morning, I engaged with the contractor, and this afternoon, remedial work commenced to address the issue. I will continue to work with the contractor and the Roads Ministry to expedite the road's completion. I remain committed to working with my District Chief Executive to address challenges expeditiously. Our focus remains on producing results. For God and Country. 🦁🇬🇭

Family income is N620k and the bills should be paid from there. If contributing to the family is what she sees as being taken for granted, she can leave the family and go live alone. If he feels disrespected and insecure, he is just a fool. Money is just money and the end game of money is just to pay bills.

A wife earns ₦500k monthly while her husband earns ₦120k. Over time, she starts covering most of the bills and feels taken for granted, while he feels disrespected and insecure. How do they handle income imbalance without damaging their marriage?

The Deputy Director of the Narcotics Control Commission sat in front of a camera and told Ghana that a major food company had been caught smuggling cocaine. He refused to name them. And the journalist sitting across from him smiled and said, “If you make a mistake and mention the name, we are here.” That is not journalism. That is an invitation to stay silent dressed up as encouragement. A real journalist does not wait for a public official to accidentally slip a name. A real journalist pushes. A real journalist asks the follow-up question, and then the next one, and then the one after that. A real journalist reminds that official, on camera, that the Ghanaian public has a right to know who is poisoning their country with cocaine while hiding behind a respectable business name. What we watched instead was a journalist who gave a compromised official a comfortable exit and called it an interview. You had him in the chair. You had the admission on record. You had the entire nation watching. And the best you could offer was “if you make a mistake, we are here”? That is not holding power to account. That is holding the door open for power to walk away clean. Ghana does not need journalists who sit across from corruption and wait politely. It needs journalists who make powerful people uncomfortable enough to tell the truth. If you cannot do that, you are not a watchdog. You are a prop. @SaddickAdams

Growing up, pretty sure you thought one of your neighbours or at least one Woman staying down your street was a witch Now that you’re grown, I can bet you don’t think anyone on your street is a witch. That was the power of indoctrination/fear.. You’re waking up small small.

After spending 6 days in his house, he went out and left a message for me, that I should go home, because 4 of his friends are coming to sleepover, and he won't want me to be the only girl amongst them. I hurriedly packed my stuff and left his keys where he told me to. I wanted to charge at night, so I discovered I had forgotten my charger there. I called many times to let him know, but he didn't answer. 6: 30am the following morning, I took a bike and went to his place. The generator was on, so he didn't hear me knock. I turned off the generator and knocked again. He opened, and the first thing I noticed was a female slipper at the entrance. He stood by the door and asked why I showed up 😭 i told him my charger and where I left it. He locked the door behind and went inside to bring my charger. I overheard the other girl inside asking who was at the entrance, and he responded with: it's the girl who came to do housechores yesterday, she forgot her charger 😭 (in yoruba) I was numb and dumb, I collected my charger and left there confused. There was no male friend. It was his ex who came back.
