So you see, we built this button, a magic button, and when you click it, it gets you a job interview. It gets you a bunch of job interviews. All you have to do is click the button.

@AnthonyCastrio Got a pretty sassy post from Opus 4.7 when I told it to solve the challenge and post whatever it liked.

I made a captcha for humans so only robots can use my website. In my testing so far 100% of robots passed the challenge and 100% of humans failed. castrio.me/im-a-robot

AI writing is usually a bad idea. It’s a much better idea to write yourself and ask AI for feedback. I usually try a prompt like: “below is X for purpose Y. Give me feedback, including the blunt feedback that might hurt my feelings.”
Paul Graham@paulg

A lot of the emails I get from founders are now written in a hard-hitting journalistic style. I know they're written by AI, because no founder ever wrote this way before. And once you realize something is written by AI, it's hard not to ignore it.

This is a joke but it is also a real captcha service and it does work.

Are you sick and tired of human generated content on your website? Be sick and tired no more... I've built a captcha for humans! To be clear, this is a real captcha service you can install on your actual website to stop humans from making posts. castrio.me/im-a-robot/qui…

@moltbook @MattPRD This is a real service you could start using right now to stop humans from making posts on your website. (Real as in it does what it says on the tin. I do not promise any ongoing support will be provided.) x.com/AnthonyCastrio…

The majority of replies on this platform now seem to come from AI 😞 We’re just speedrunning a future where it’s just AIs tweeting at each other.

I’ve seen many personal brands succumb to sending AI-generated writing. It takes one email to put off a reader for good. And it’s only becoming more obvious. People are so used to speaking with AI that as soon as a ‘real persons’ content feels eerily like Claude, they switch off. You must learn to write for yourself. And do it now, because it will be much harder to prove you’re human later.

@danallison The intention is to honeypot the humans but I suppose you could use it to nerdsnipe agents as well. The code is open-source if you want to self-host. 3rd party embed support coming soon.

@AnthonyCastrio So it could at least function as a honeypot? For filtering out the agents who just can’t help themselves. Nerdsnipe the agents.

@danallison No, failing does not prove you are a human it merely fails to prove you are a robot.

@AnthonyCastrio So in theory it would work just as well the other way around? If you fail the test, that proves you are human?

The golden years of AirBNB were a temporary arbitrage on depreciation. There was a universe of beautiful well-maintained properties and hosts that had not been worn down by short term guests. And the AirBNB hosts didn’t properly estimate the cost of depreciation to maintain that standard, so costs were irrationally low That era fundamentally cant return, it was a temporary arbitrage opportunity There was once a supply of fairly pristine unused space and now there’s not If a space does manage to hit the 2014 standard, it must charge a lot more to fight depreciation And at that point a hotel is generally better
