@DanielGorman20 Hey thank you for this actually. Feels increasingly hard to know, for me at least, where to look for for genuine insight and curiosity outside of those on LB who actually try. Will be delving in!

Hana-bi all day every day. Violence quite literally depicted as brushstrokes to illustrate the constructive and destructive ways we cope with tragedy.

Name a good non-English language crime movie. I like "City of God."

@ConchiclatorS hey the blue mask too! idk what these numbers really mean, but 4’s gotta at least be the minimum for Lou, no?

@DanielGorman20 Watched Von Sternberg’s The Last Command, unfortunately my first of his, and was utterly astonished by its bright-eyed romanticism and triumphant tragedy. Soaring!

@TheDougFiles He better never lose that mustache; such devilish dirtbag scumminess, and handsome too!

I need to see a Good Time style movie starring him. His weapons arc gets at that, but I need a full film devoted to his crash out

SPIKE JONZE raves MEGALOPOLIS
"I’m still smiling from it. Radical. I’ve never seen anything like it [..] It was funny & alive & electric and made the world and ideas so vivid. I laughed out loud the whole time. The play and surrealism & joy of creating"

@fuforthoughtpod If you haven’t done so already, I’d definitely check out The Big Gundown, The Great Silence and Keoma as Spaghetti Western must watches!

I was wrong. I like James now. Also, this scene is great, the haters are wrong.

Josef@Slither2006
I honestly forgot about James entirely, possibly the worst character in the whole show. I also forgot Donna wasn’t always played by Heather Graham, but the original actress does a good job as well.

Bro has never had a love in his life that makes him stronger than anything you can imagine

Mart@Martposting
I'm pretty certain that if you showed a love-starved incel how mediocre the love of a woman feels like, he would feel thoroughly betrayed and disappointed

Idk but my grandma’s pretty twisted in those home videos of ours. Spine tingling behavior
