@ddaaannnniiii As someone born in South GA, and raised by a Northern, this is pretty accurate. My Mom has been called rude a lot, but she'll break her back for people.
Meanwhile I am nice as fuck to the people I dislike, and I tend to come off rude to friends because I know I can be honest.

@Caligirl_613 @capybartini A lot of the younger kids, Gen Alpha, where JUST starting school when COVID hit. My kid was 6. It definitely messed with young kids abilities to socialize because they where basically isolated in those formative years where they are learning how to be around people and interact.

I had access to screens my entire life (video games, computers, TV, iPod touch, later smart phones) & graduated high school in 2015. I did all those things. I even went to grad school bc I like school. Teachers didn’t complain about us the way they do about kids now.

Every teacher I know personally is leaving the profession because students have become unteachable. They don’t read, they don’t talk to each other, they have no curiosity, no passion, no interest in learning. Giving kids unfettered access to screens has ruined a generation.
