@AxiomVerge If you played the remake, the original might be worth looking into if you're OK with mid 90s DOS jank. It's interesting playing games from before control schemes and everything else was so standardized. Everything felt bespoke, in a way.

Finished System Shock today. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 1994 imsim - at first it seems much more shooty than modern imsims. But I think in 1994, the puzzles, interconnected map, inventory, and character logs would have made it feel more immersive than, say, Doom II.

@JasonKPargin In NZ you won't even see the cops have them unless you're like... Near an area where there's been a reported shooting or something. They still have them in the car, but you'd never know on most days.

Maybe this is a dumb question but to my European friends: is it possible for you to go like decades without seeing a gun like this in person, or do you still run into them sometimes?

I'm sick of so many shows, especially in animation, getting cut short, often in spite of critical acclaim and all the sunk cost that goes into producing these series to begin with. Especially when LGBT themes are involved. I applaud any effort to rub their noses in it.

Got to season 3 of The Owl House and you can tell they decided "to hell with it, if this is all we're getting then we're shoving as much overt queerness in as we can possibly muster", and you know what, good for them

@GrahuRubufo The fix is to create a blank file in the root of the game folder called DLC.bdt
Verifying your game files may also work, but this is what worked for me on the steam deck :)

@plainoldchair @MaxKriegerVG Inkjet printers that could print on cds used to be a thing. Maybe they still are, or he's holding onto a 2010 printer

@MaxKriegerVG Heck yeah, got mine the other day. Still plan on trying to find out what brand of DVD-R he used. Any idea how he got the labels on? I expect him to do it the cheapest way possible, but it's centered pretty well

So last nights pre release was fun! it was a really good format for sealed with one exception. Games were very back and forth until someone played a mythic, then the game changed into 'can you kill this, this turn' if not you just kinda lost.
