@MichaelDChaney @ValerioCapraro Did you mean Microsoft Word and similar word processors automatically replace quotes with the curved ones? While Calibri has support for curved quotes (like a LOT of typefaces), using that type is not *why* you get curved quotes.

“The strongest indicator was the shape of the apostrophes: standard Calibri font has round apostrophes, GPT-generated text has straight ones.” This statement betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of fonts and character sets, and you then build on that mistake to judge the writing. I generally write in a plain text editor and my writing will have standard ASCII apostrophes. If you don’t understand the previous sentence and its relevance in this discussion then you need to remove the “curved calibri apostrophe” thing from your arsenal. I agree with most of what you say here, but dropping a clue bomb in the middle isn’t a good look for you.

iOS 18 is so confusing. I feel like we are in the middle of a design renaissance. There is so much incredible work out there right now. and then Apple comes out with this? The company that's supposed to be THE industry standard for design?

That meant I had to switch hospitals to get the surgery. All told I was two weeks in hospital. I left after Easter with a screw in my shoulder. Surgery recovery is what has kept me away for two months as it’s been a slow rebuild. I’m healing 1% per day.

@DannyBATB It is. I do. I’ve been off for the past two and a half months recovering from a motorcycle accident. This week is my first week back, and I’m returning to work gradually.
