Starting to question doing an Sega MD only version as my base game for the Deathwish Enforcers Spin off "Buddy Cops" or should I move it over to the NeoGeo and take advantage of being able to do way more detailed artwork... Right now I'm just working on player sprites and coding the player movements. Doing two versions of the game isn't an option since I'm a one man team for this game. Code base is the same but the music and the art would be drastically different. Also I can use the current codebase to port Deathwish Enforcers SE over to the NeoGeo... What to do, what to do... LOL!

After messing around with the MD version of the game I realized I can't do half of the stuff I want to do because of the lack of vram. Even with the smaller sprites I ran out of room to do tile work. So I've flipped the project over to NeoGeo and went to town on my tile art. I'll show a clip in a couple of weeks :) So far I have the first player probably 60-75% completed. A zombie enemy which can follow you, get shot and punched... and a bus that's going to crash off screen causing a zombie overload :) I have around 136 frames of animation completed for player 1 and that's only for the regular handgun. Both player will be able to use all weapons unlike Deathwish Enforcers. This game is like a cross between Rolling Thunder and Deathwish Enforcers... the player doesn't have half of the limitations of Rolling Thunder (you can't shoot up or down except for RT3 you can shoot upwards on an angle). The player code is almost Identical to Deathwish Enforcers SE already so I don't think it would be a far stretch to port it over to NeoGeo as well with some upgrades :) Here is a very unfinished screenshot with a completely unfinished HUD.
