Gisèle Pelicot (Madame Courage) was just asked at trial by his lawyers about continuing to use her surname - Pelicot.
Madame Courage said that when the trial began her children were "ashamed" of the name.
The she said: "I have grandchildren who are called that. Today, I want them to be proud of their grandmother. My name is known across the world now. They shouldn't be ashamed of carrying that name. I want people to remember Madame Pelicot not Monsieur Pelicot."

If one party is shit, the other doesn't have to try.

RE: Social Media Ban for Under16's (aka the trojan horse Digital ID for ALL Australians) So the Federal Labor Gov't have confirmed at Senate Estimates that ALL Australians will have to go through an age verification process to access social media, not just under 16 year olds. They conceded to @DavidShoebridge this is the only way it can work. This is how I think they are going to try and implement this ban. 1: They will create a list of social media platforms they want to include age restrictions for. How they decide which platforms are on this list is anyone’s guess. 2: They will do what they did with the list of illegal download websites etc and redirect all traffic. But instead of seeing a Copyright Infringement notice this time it will trigger a mandatory MYGovID verification process. They will also try to implement VPN detection technology to stop users getting around this. 3: If you do not pass this authentication method successfully you will be directed to a page saying you must be over 16 to access the social media platform. 4: This method will require anyone who wants to access these listed platforms to have a current MyGovID account. 5: Age restrictions already apply to MYGovID accounts which must be 15 or older so they will have to lift that to 16. 6: Effectively this will mean you can’t access any of the listed platforms/websites without a MYGovID account. I can’t see how any other method would work effectively which means this scheme really is a Trojan horse for a Digital Australia Card. What will be next? Alcohol sales? Buying a house? Voting? Opening a bank account? Getting Married? Using MyGovID for accessing Govt services like Centrelink etc is one thing, using to encroach into people’s personal lives is another thing all together. I truly hope all Australians soundly reject this idea. #SocialMediaBan #DigitalAustraliaCard
