Dear leaned friend, I am aware that VDM through his lawyer has distanced himself from the said Video in circulating. But denial of knowledge of a particular act whether personally or through a legal representation does not automatically exonerate him from being a suspect in the alleged offence committed as a result of the published video. Because, the origin of the video was traced to a TikTok account named “Ratel” with over a 100k followers believed to be ratel members. Now the question is who is the leader of the Ratel and who will be reached out first assuming there is an issue with the ratel group? And you know sir, that criminal liability or who can be charged with an offence, including a person who procured or aided or counsel amongst others (Sec 7 cc) can be charged or called upon for questioning. Arresting or inviting VDM doesn’t make him guilty but will aid in getting to the perpetrators of the alleged offences because he is the leader of the group. So he can be arrested or invited on those grounds and such arrest will be said to be based on reasonable suspicion and lawful under the law. Many people think I hate VDM, which is very wrong. I will maintain similar position if it is anyone involved, because I believe in accountability, not only from government but from individuals too. The notion which many Nigerians ignorantly have is that belief that only the government can be called out to give account of their actions. No one is above arrest, unless those immune under the law, but arrest doesn’t automatically translate to guilt and when people like m call for an arrest, it doesn’t mean that we believe that the person is guilty, it just means that we believe the person has some questions to answer. To think that such call is bad and evil, well, I have no word for that. I hope you understand my position now and I hope I am able to address your concerns.

My stands still remain that VDM must be arrested and answer questions relating to the said video. Here is why; First, he said multiple times that he is the owner of RATELS and has registered and trademark it in almost all categories. The source of the said video is believed to have originated from “RATEL TV”, a page that has been consistent in circulating almost all VDM videos since its creation. The pages is across all social media platforms and followers of the page are RATELS Members. Second, the leader of the RATELS or what VDM describes as the “PRESIDENT” of the RATEL group, an association that is owned and controlled by him VDM, all their activities are sanctioned expressly or impliedly by VDM, therefore, denying the video alone does not remove him from liability, because he is the “PRINCIPAL” of the organization and is vicariously liable to but criminal and civil liabilities arising from the conduct of the group or members of that group, because they are always acting as the agent of their President (VDM). Third, yes the video was fake and was made by a person controlling his RATELS pages and they have VDM authorities, either expressly or impliedly to be doing what they are posting. Therefore, the duty is on him to produce the maker of that video or face the consequences himself. A simple example of this position is, assuming that during a cleaning session of the Ratels, someone was injured by the negligence of the Ratels member, VDM will be held liable by law. @aonanuga1956 was not wrong to call for his arrest, neither was anyone who supported the call for his arrest. Clearly, this fight is not a muscle fight, and VDM should be wise enough to start looking for the maker of the video and or produce him to the authorities or own up to the video as his. Coming online to make a video insulting people will not help him. @OfficialDSSNG should take not of this position. You can’t mess around with everyone. @BashirAhmaad There are numerous accounts on Tiktok claiming to be for VDM. Some of those accounts have more followers than VDM's account itself, so the only place I go to verify if a content is from VDM is either YouTube or Instagram, where he is verified.

This trending video of VDM discussing a fake voice note linked to the President, it is bad, extremely bad, and no matter how anyone chooses to see it, it clearly crosses all red lines. Contents like this will not only affect the President, his administration or his party; they have the dangerous potential to ignite tensions and create unnecessary chaos that could end up hurting innocent people. Content creators and social media influencers must understand the weight of their words and the possible consequences of spreading unverified and inflammatory materials.

@BashirAhmaad If someone makes an allegation that @BashirAhmaad made a defamatatory or incendiary remark; the first place I would check is your verified account, as anyone can just open an account, especially on Tiktok and claim it is you.

@pious_minister If you visit his account, you will see where the fake video was edited. In the original video, he said something like, "Let me show you a video," but the fake video circulated by you played an audio was inserted on the original VDM's video.

The fact that VDM called out so many people who were against the video in his last video, and didn’t even bother to mention the person who posted the video first, says a lot about everything. 🤔🙄

This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tinubu. This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform.
