@KaiHamill4 @CFlanders7 And what did you do when it happened to you today? Did you buy them back when you saw that they were reversing?

@AnyesVIP @CFlanders7 That happened to me today and happens often within any system. More so with stop losses at LOD around 1-2% below entry. What kind of a trader are you? Do you prefer a higher win rate such as 45% or lower around 20-30%? You’ll be stopped out more the tighter your stops.

If the flags build out that I hope build out...

@KaiHamill4 @CFlanders7 Well, naturally, I prefer a higher winrate, but I have to say it varies widely depending on market conditions. Days like today kind of kill it. And I try to have very tight stop losses, unless I have a cushion, but that doesn’t work in gap downs. Would you suggest 5%?

@KaiHamill4 @CFlanders7 Any suggestions on how to better position my stop losses though? I hate getting stopped out only to see the stock come back to where it was. But not having stop loss orders is not an option, it would freak me out too much.

@AnyesVIP @CFlanders7 That scenario happens to all traders and is part of the natural distribution of any trading system. One of the reasons why trading is so difficult, push through it for sure!

@CFlanders7 @KaiHamill4 I ended up buying them back, but that’s slippage of few percent here and there. Super annoying. How do you get around it? I don’t want my stops to be too wide and risk 10% of the position.

@AnyesVIP @KaiHamill4 I don’t know which stocks you are in or where you placed your stops. All the names I was in closed above their 8emas but two hit stops since I entered them yesterday.
