Bissouma over Paulinha and Sarr over Bergvall would have allowed us to control the game better and possibly kick on to win it. De Zerbi has bought has back from the dead and his system will obviously work much better with creative players, so can’t criticise him too much

But as soon as he went off, we lost all control the midfield and Leeds created chances and could have even nicked it with more luck. The in game management was poor by De Zerbi leaving on Paulinha who was a passenger in possession and going forward and missed a golden chance

Since Bentancur returned against Brighton, we started to control games better. In the Brighton and Villa games we conceded after he went off and the Wolves game we saw out when he finished the game. Tel’s brain dead decision meant we conceded with him on the pitch last night

I’m genuinely just sitting in bafflement at what Tel has just done. I actually just cannot fathom that decision he’s just made. One of the most monumentally stupid things I’ve ever seen a player do considering the context of the situation we’re in.

@ccliffy90 @JackPittBrooke No we lost control before that. For the first 65 minutes we were well on top in possession and without. After bentancur went off and Paulinha stayed on (baffling), we had no control over midfield and Leeds could have scored the winner

FT 1-1. I thought Spurs very good for an hour or so. Couldn't get a crucial second goal. And in the end it cost them two points. Even with the Kinsky save from Longstaff, it feels like a big missed opportunity.

Stay up or go down, the technical level of the Spurs team needs a huge turnaround. 3, 4 players minimum. You could see so many potentially dangerous attacks turn into nothing because of a loose first touch, or unable to play 360 etc.

@LilywhiteLab You’re right about Tel’s idiotic decision but De Zerbi in game management was poor too, waited too long to make changes & then made the wrong subs. Bissouma & Sarr would have kept us control of the game rather than Paulinha & Bergvall

What a waste. This was one we should have won. Had multiple good chances to put the ball in the goal we didn’t take. The draw is ultimately on us. Gutted. At least it’s still in our own hands. We have to win these last two now. No room for anything else. Scary times.

Brain dead decision from Tel with the penalty. Really poor from De Zerbi to leave Paulinha on, who was mostly a passenger in possession and forward play. The game started to change after 65 mins and it lead to the penalty. We lost all control of the game when Bentancur went off

Same old story at home, let down by technical quality. Extra touches, poor final touches/passes/shots from the likes of Tel, Richarlison & Muani. We need much more them 2nd half I’d take Paulinha off for Gray/Bissouma/Sarr at h/t. We really miss a playmaker in these home games
