I still believe them jumping to Galaxy as a 2nd installment wasn’t the right decision They should’ve saved it as the 3rd or 4th movie! Galaxy and Rosalina herself are both things that have such a grand scale that it would make sense to save for later #TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie

Add some bikini fan service (Wario & Waluigi 😅). Rollercoaster now mine carts.

@IGN This movie lacks coherent story , character development, and narrative structure. And all other fundamental to movies are not even in the movie. And without those fundamentals this movie doesn’t deserve the money that it’s earning.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie shot through the universe to become the biggest opening of the year with a $372 million global debut.

@jt_martin @IGN Yeah it's more likely they will use these films as an opportunity to elevate key IP. Smash is a meta, fever-dream mash-up that the films are now able to fulfil through storytelling, so it's not automatically a creative beacon for these crossovers to lead to a Smash movie I guess.

@IGN Nintendo spent 40 years building airtight walls between these franchises and put Fox McCloud in a Mario movie four days after Miyamoto told everyone there's no Smash Bros. film coming. He said that to a reporter, while his company was finishing the movie with Fox McCloud in it.

As we know, Fox McCloud is in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, suddenly in the mix with Mario and Bowser — and it opens the door to a full Super Smash Bros. film. bit.ly/4dh9m6T

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was even better the second time around! It’s hard to explain, but even though only 2.5 days had passed, I was already craving another viewing. This time I took my family, too, and am happy to say that my wife liked it and my children loved it. Highly recommended!

@Nicholasli0 @frogroyper @GlobalBoxOffice We'd much rather Sonic took this overall approach, representing the worlds we love from the games and not dressing up a trite story in place of a more timeless thrill ride. Most Sonic fans who aren't autistic would probably be happy to admit this.

@frogroyper @GlobalBoxOffice “It’s for kids” what a load of shit. Sonic have good ratings and meets all of the goals of what makes it a decent movie. Or hell look at all of the other animated films in the past or hell like transformers one. So cut the bullshit. Kids deserve quality not slop.

I think that’s exactly the type of movie that WOULD work. More focused on story and small batch of characters. Luigi and e gadd journey to stop king boo and save Mario and he comes across deeper lore about the mansion and backstories for the ghosts.
