🇪🇷 New Development:- Isaias Afwerki Escaped Another Coup. In early April 2026, Eritrea was shaken by a dramatic failed coup attempt orchestrated by senior military officials within the regime itself. Multiple high-ranking generals, disillusioned with the prolonged leadership of President Isaias Afwerki and the ongoing strains of indefinite national service and economic hardship, reportedly coordinated an effort to challenge the established power structure in Asmara. The plot unfolded swiftly in the first days of the month, with elements of the military attempting to seize key government installations and broadcast calls for reform. Loyalist forces quickly suppressed the uprising, preventing it from gaining broader momentum. In the immediate aftermath, authorities launched a sweeping crackdown. Several generals and their alleged co-conspirators were arrested and subjected to rapid prosecution in closed military tribunals. Charges ranged from treason and incitement to mutiny, with reports indicating that the proceedings emphasized the need to preserve national unity amid external pressures. The prosecutions sent ripples through the armed forces, leading to heightened security measures, purges of suspected sympathizers, and a renewed emphasis on loyalty oaths. Observers noted that the episode exposed underlying fractures within the military hierarchy, even as the regime moved to project strength and control. State media framed the events as the defeat of internal betrayal influenced by external agitators, while the swift judicial response aimed to deter any further dissent. By mid-April, the situation appeared stabilized on the surface, though the failed coup and subsequent trials left the Eritrean regime visibly strained. The episode highlighted persistent internal tensions, even as the country continued to navigate complex regional dynamics with neighbors like Ethiopia. The full extent of the fallout, including any long-term weakening of command structures, remained a subject of cautious discussion among regional analysts in the weeks that followed.

Eritrean Afar National Congress Establishes Military Wing to Dismantle the Current Eritrean Regime through Armed Struggle! PRESS RELEASE: April 20, 2026 Assab-Dankalia | Eritrea The Eritrean Afar National Congress (EANC), a leading indigenous Afar movement dedicated to restoring the rights to internal self-determination, autonomy, and self-governance for the Afar people in their coastal homeland of Dankalia, Eritrea, has taken a decisive step amid ongoing marginalization, persecution, and ethnic cleansing by the ruling Eritrean regime, the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ) under unelected President Isaias Afwerki. Having long collaborated with various Eritrean opposition groups in exile, the EANC has now introduced an all-Afar paramilitary force operating within the region. Historically, the EANC has documented severe human rights violations against the Afar, including ethnic cleansing, illegal land confiscations, systematic forced displacement, economic devastation, and government policies aimed at removing Afar populations from Dankalia's strategic coastal territories. Prominent organizations—including those in the United Nations, UN Special Rapporteurs on the situation of human rights, the United Nations Human Rights Council, Human Rights Watch, and other indigenous and human rights advocacy groups—have condemned the treatment of the Afar people and urged respect for their rights as indigenous and minority communities. After 35 years of Isaias Afwerki's dictatorial rule—akin to other global dictatorships—the consensus among Eritreans and numerous Eritrean opposition groups is that only forcible removal can end the PFDJ regime. The EANC is now committing to a military victory to dismantle the current Eritrean regime through armed struggle, marking a new chapter in restoring Afar self-determination and autonomy in Dankalia. It calls on all Eritrean forces to unite in accelerating the downfall of the Afwerki regime and urges opposition groups to join the Afar in the struggle for regime change in Eritrea. Political Manifesto of EANC dankalia.org/ease-policy/ea… For media inquiries, please contact us via email: info@dankalia.org

Heaven on Ethiopia: Amhara and Oromo Powerhouse‼️‼️ In a new golden era, Ethiopia emerges as “Heaven on Earth.” FANO and OLA-Shane have laid down their weapons and joined hands with the government in Addis Ababa. The long-standing tension between Amhara and Oromo politicians and elites has vanished. The two largest ethnic groups now work together in full harmony, turning past rivals into partners for national greatness. This single act of unity has unlocked Ethiopia’s true potential. With Amhara and Oromo living and building side by side, the nation transforms rapidly. Farmers from both regions share fertile lands and modern irrigation systems. Engineers and business leaders from the two communities collaborate in innovation corridors stretching from Bahir Dar to Adama. The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam powers not only Ethiopia but the entire Horn of Africa. Foreign investment pours in, high-speed railways connect every corner of the country, and Ethiopia quickly rises as Africa’s manufacturing and agricultural powerhouse. Addis Ababa becomes the undisputed diplomatic and economic capital of Africa. Ethiopian mediators, trusted because their own house is finally at peace, resolve conflicts across the continent. Youth from every region fill universities and tech hubs, driving breakthroughs in green energy, AI, agriculture, and biotechnology. The economy surges from low-income to upper-middle-income status within a decade. Ethiopia’s rich resources, youthful population, and strategic location propel it toward becoming one of the ten most powerful nations on Earth. This is no distant dream. When the two majority groups—Amhara and Oromo—choose harmony over division, the entire nation ascends. FANO and OLA-Shane evolve from fighters into architects of renewal. Ancient heritage and modern ambition blend seamlessly. Ethiopia stands tall as a united powerhouse, proving that 130 million people moving forward together can achieve greatness no force can stop. Heaven on Ethiopia is not coming—it begins the moment unity is chosen.

🇪🇷 Eritrean Government Accused of Mass Evictions of Afar Communities Along Red Sea Coast 😭😭😭 Eritrean security forces have carried out systematic forced evictions of Afar communities across a vast 700-kilometer stretch of the Red Sea coastline from Massawa in the north to Ras Dumer near the Djibouti border. Eritrean Afar residents have been displaced from ancestral lands, villages, ports, and islands that have long served as vital economic lifelines through fishing, maritime trade, and pastoral activities for over 2,000 years. They haven been denied access to marine resources, alongside broader abuses such as enforced conscription, arbitrary arrests, torture, and killings, which have driven hundreds of thousands into internal displacement or exile in neighboring countries like Ethiopia, Djibouti, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. The situation highlights ongoing ethnic and land tensions in the strategically important Dankalia region, amid Eritrea’s opaque internal policies and complex regional dynamics in the Horn of Africa. Isaias Afwerki MUST go‼️

According to the IMF, Ethiopia’s GDP growth is projected to hit a robust 9.2% in year 2026. 🇪🇷 Eritrea’s data? Not available. Maybe the IMF just couldn’t find any growth to measure… or they were too polite to publish the awkward truth that Eritrea’s economy is still stuck somewhere between “survival mode” and “eternal stagnation.” Some countries celebrate double-digit growth. Others can’t even get the IMF to dignify them with a forecast. Classic Eritrea. Always the regional participation trophy holder. Isaias Afwerki MUST go‼️

Major Breaking News ‼️ Ethiopian Revocation of Eritrea’s State Recognition. The Ethiopian government is taking a bold and historic step by announcing the revocation of its official recognition of the Eritrean state. On April 17, 2026, high ranking Ethiopian authorities communicated with United Nations (UN) Security Council, citing Eritrea’s failure to fulfill its political mandate over the past three decades. The statement accuses the Eritrean regime of persistent instability, authoritarian governance, and actions that have repeatedly undermined regional peace and security. This move marks a significant shift in Ethiopia’s long-standing position toward its neighbor, effectively declaring that the independence granted in 1993 no longer holds legitimacy in Addis Ababa’s eyes due to Eritrea’s alleged inability to build a stable and cooperative state. By labeling the Eritrean regime as an imminent threat to the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia has signaled its readiness to reassess the geopolitical realities of the region. The revocation is being framed as a necessary response to years of unresolved border disputes, alleged interference in Ethiopian internal affairs, and broader destabilizing activities attributed to Asmara. This development is expected to have far-reaching implications for diplomacy, security arrangements, and potential future negotiations between the two nations. Observers anticipate heightened tensions, possible realignments among regional actors, and renewed debates over sovereignty and self-determination in the volatile Horn of Africa.

This is embarrassing. Abiy Ahmed can’t navigate a basic English interview without a script on a tablet. When a Prime Minister struggles to answer fundamental questions without reading from a screen, it raises serious concerns about the leadership & the future of the nation.

Congratulations Eritrea 🇪🇷 The only country in the world that completely unaffected by a closure of the Strait of Hormuz would be Eritrea. Not because Eritrea produces or refines its own oil, but because its demand for fuel is practically zero. Most vehicles in the country are decades-old relics that run on outdated or improvised engines (water steam powered engines), while the vast majority of transportation still relies on donkeys, horses, and camels. Isaias Afwerki knew the negative effect of modernization. Great job Isaias Afwerki. You proved the world how smart you are.

News: #Ethiopia wheat imports to persist as rising prices, tight supply offset production gains A new #USDA report projects that Ethiopia will continue importing about 1.4 million metric tons of #wheat despite increased domestic production, citing tight supply and surging prices. The report also notes that domestic wheat prices have risen sharply, reinforcing reliance on imports even as output grows. Despite the expected growth in wheat production, the report warns that domestic wheat supplies remain tight, forcing millers and traders to increasingly rely on imports. #Russia remains Ethiopia’s largest wheat supplier, accounting for 68 percent of imports, followed by #Ukraine and #Romania. Together, the three countries supplied 93 percent of Ethiopia’s wheat imports, underscoring the country’s continued reliance on Black Sea markets. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has repeatedly remarked rejecting wheat import as a defining feature of Ethiopia, alongside official narratives that the country had transitioned from a major wheat importer to a self-sufficient producer with export potential, amplified through campaigns such as #WheatRevolution.
