Fano is more than a resistance: it is the living embodiment of Amhara patriotism, the unyielding spirit of a people who have defended Ethiopia’s sovereignty for centuries. From the battlefields of Adwa to the fight against fascist invaders, Fano has stood as the shield of the nation, confronting enemies both foreign and domestic. Today, as Ethiopia faces one of its darkest hours, Fano rises once again, not for conquest, but for survival, not for power, but for justice and Amhara’s rightful place in the Horn of Africa. As indomitable as the mountains of Ethiopia, Fano moves with the wisdom of generations, armed not just with courage but with the timeless tradition of wax and gold. It stands for the Amhara people: the greatest architects of the Ethiopian state, who have borne the greatest brunt in building and defending it. Against the brutality of the Oromumma regime, against betrayal from within, and against those who seek to erase Amhara identity, Fano fights on, fearless and unbowed. It is the spirit of Che Belew, the echo of warriors past, the defiance of a people who will never be broken. May Fano endure, may Fano prevail, and may history once again remember the courage of those who stood when all else fell. @EmishawEskedar @ShebaPushStart @NeaminZeleke @AbrarSuleiman @AwassaTeddy @DuchessOfGonder @Almaz_lovely @MaedotmEthiopia @Tsedeniya11 @AndargachewTse2 @jeffpropulsion @Aabuhamar @Amhara_Wisdom @AmharaHQ @HFano4life @AltayeEthiopia @GonderawB @nuro_bezede @Eseteselassie @AlemuRutta @EthiAmhara @Shade_Of_Amhara

@made_in_addis @AdonisLo I agree 100%! It's in April that the hate towards Amhara resulted in a brutal killings. From that point on it all turned into a full fledged ethnic cleansing. We are now witnesses to Amhara Genocide.

April should be recognized as Amhara Genocide Awareness Month, a fixed time to center the victims of Amhara genocide, both historically & in the present. From Arba Gugu & Bedeno to Welkait, Wollega, Ataye, Arsi, & the current war, it would serve as a moment of remembrance & a way to reset the tone across social media. Similar observances exist for other groups, such as Holocaust remembrance, Armenian Genocide remembrance, & Rwanda’s Kwibuka. The same approach is needed for Amharas. On social media, there should be consistent sharing of the crimes committed against our people, while organizations take the lead in educating, raising awareness, & highlighting the human experience of Amhara genocide especially for diaspora youth & non-Ethiopians who lack context. It is critical that we shift attention away from political noise & toward real-life stories. Let influential people on all platforms know & call on local associations to take part. This is the least that can be done.

Open letter to the People of #Amhara and #FANO To the Honorable and Great Amhara People: An Open Letter Amhara is the backbone and morning star of the Ethiopian nation-state's construction. Before the Amhara people, no people in Ethiopia or Africa took up arms or pens first. Therefore, no one knows the damage and suffering caused by war more than the Amhara. When the country's sovereignty is violated, they raise their weapons and fight, preserving the country with the blood and bones of their fathers. They created the alphabet, wrote on parchment, and taught. They carved stones and erected monuments; they built churches and mosques. Amhara is the initiator and originator of civilization. Amhara is the source of Ethiopian identity. They have a high level of political awareness that allows them to deeply understand Ethiopia's political problems. However, Ethiopia has never had an internal political problem in its history that has been resolved by guns. It doesn't have one today, and it won't have one in the future. And no one knows or understands this truth more than the Amhara people. In their history, the Amhara have never considered raising arms against their brothers as heroism. No one has ever emerged from the Amhara to try to destroy the country. Currently, neither the Amhara nor the entire Ethiopian people have a problem that can be solved by weapons. Amhara does not need weapons to protect their rights. Amhara identity is itself dignity and majesty. No one can diminish or defile this fact. In this age of civilization, when the Amhara people, who are a ray of light, should be role models by solving political problems in a civilized manner, they should not go back to the era of armed struggle. The Amhara elite and youth can solve Ethiopia's problems, and even Africa's problems, with their pens alone. Amhara identity is not mere nationalism but a refined philosophy. Amhara identity is love of country, heroism, religiosity, and Ethiopian identity. When an Amhara cruelly raises arms against their brother, it is a curse, not heroism. Unless a compelling situation arises to fight together against a foreign enemy, an Ethiopian should not pull the trigger on their Ethiopian brother. Enough! Amhara, come back! Buy an Ethiopian heart! #Amhara #Ethiopia #AFMN

Amhara Fano National Movement - Foreign Affairs@AFNM_FA

We are honored that Russian news has reported that the Fano rebel group in Ethiopia has defeated the regime's forces, and this should be encouraged. However, Fano is not a rebel group; it is a freedom fighter. We are fighting to change the regime and build an inclusive,

📌To those who promote Jawar,TPLF & OLF If the suffering of Amharas still DO NOT force a moral reckoning, then where is the line? How many more must be killed, displaced,or broken before you admit that boundary has been crossed? What is your moral threshold?
