@jonnajarian Yes, who needs a minimum wage bill when you can exploit a pandemic and pay people to stay home, forcing employers to compete against the government for employees time. Employers then have to raise wages to get people to work. This was not an unintended consequence

This route allows crude to reach the Red Sea, avoiding the narrow and vulnerable routes of the Persian Gulf. The pipeline, over a thousand kilometers long, was built back in the 1980s precisely for scenarios like crises or blockades.
