The PrAEctiCe agroecology final conference was a success
In Kenya, 800 farmers now practice integrated fisheries and vegetable production, and two youth-led companies are preparing to scale these methods with support from Kisumu County's Department of Agriculture. In Uganda, 250 stakeholders trained in aquaponic systems will soon train others, multiplying impact through a train-the-trainer model launching next week. In Tanzania, 5,000 people have been reached through programmes on poultry, fish, and crop integration.
The event showcased four years of work across three countries, brought to life by the leadership of the Apodissi team in collaboration with the National Agricultural Research Organization team, Cassius Aruho Barry Kamira, and Dr. Alice Andra, meticulous event planning, and stakeholder coordination.
