But I can also see how debilitating a bad coach is. Another friend was dead set on teaching her the "Fun combos" which shes able to land in practice sure, but it only leads to frustration in real games since she doesnt have the fundamentals yet to be able to land it.

I got to train a friend in a fighting game recently. She started the session afraid to approach and panicking a lot when close to her opponent, she ended the day learning how to properly dash block and what to do on wakeup. I was genuinely so fucking proud seeing her improve...

I get why jobs like SAM and DRG shouldnt have combos combined, but why are we acting like pressing 1-2-3 instead of 1-1-1 is skill expression? Are we saying machinist is harder to play than bard because it has a combo💀

Rewatching the dev panel on evolved jobs and the cheering I hear when they announce combining combos into a single button is truly disheartening.

Its not meant to be interpreted that Zenos is still alive. Based on what Halmarut said, we are basically no better than he was if we get in the way of the Winterers.

@RedLineRemnant @envinyon That sounds like less of an issue with the healers and more an issue with the other jobs (biggest offender being Warrior obv)
If reborn changes those jobs so that they no longer have huge self heal options would that be a success even if healers dont change playstyle that much?

@envinyon Healers are optional.
That should never be the case.
The last two ultimates have had zero healer clears within the first 2 - 4 weeks of release.
My friends and I don't even bring tanks or healers for roulettes any more, we just go 4 dps and speed run expert.

I don't play healer, and I tend to stay in my lane. But if I have any criticisms of healers now its that I think having 300 free ogcds and you don't really use 90% of them in most of the content, that's kinda lame

Dragoons job archetype isnt "I get ready for the two minute with lance charge and battle litany" its the fantasy of having a mobile knight with a powerful jump attack
Same way bard should be about the songs and when to use them rather than maintaining dots

It was a massive mistake giving party buffs to jobs that werent made for buffing. It's directly what contributed to the awful 2-minute synergy bs that directly led to homogenization of all jobs.

Samurai revolving around Iajutsu and instead of Sen determing what you do, Iajutsu is its own button that lets you choose the follow up you want. One of those being Midare (obv) but can also have a forward dash attack as an Iajutsu option

I made a quick mockup of what I hope some of the other classes play like for the 8.0 Class reworks. Red Mage having a Black and White form that builds meter to activate a Red form. Can also make it so that if they are in close range these actions change to melee counterparts
