Is the Believer Greater Than Isaiah? This question has generated much debate. Some answer with an emphatic "Yes." Others reject the idea entirely. I believe the answer is YES but only if we understand what "greater" means in the context of the New Testament. The New Testament repeatedly presents the New Covenant as far superior to the Old not because the Old Covenant was bad or a mistake, but because it was temporary and designed to point us to Christ. The writer of Hebrews repeatedly uses one word to describe what Christ has brought: Better. A better hope (Hebrews 7:19). A better covenant (Hebrews 8:6). Better promises (Hebrews 8:6). A better sacrifice. A better possession. A better country. Then comes one of the most remarkable statements in Scripture: "These all, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect." (Hebrews 11:39–40) Pause and think about those words. Abraham. Moses. David. Isaiah. Daniel. These were giants of the faith. Yet Hebrews says they did not receive the fullness of what God had promised because God had prepared something better for us. What is that "better"? Not that we are wiser than Abraham. Not that we are more faithful than Moses. Not that we have greater prophetic ministries than Isaiah. The "better" is Christ and everything His finished work has secured for those who believe. Because Christ has come, believers now enjoy realities that even the greatest Old Testament saints anticipated. We know the Messiah not merely by promise but by fulfillment. Our sins have been finally dealt with by Christ's once-for-all sacrifice. We have been adopted as sons and daughters of God. The Holy Spirit permanently indwells every believer. We have direct access to the Father through Christ. We have been united with Christ and made members of His body. These are not small blessings. They are the very blessings the prophets longed to see. Jesus Himself said: "Blessed are your eyes, for they see... For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it." (Matthew 13:16–17) Hence, we stand greater in our experience of God's redemptive work than Isaiah did during his earthly ministry. Our greatness is not in having greater encounters. It is not in receiving greater prophecies. It is not in being greater prophets. Our greatness is found in living in the fulfillment of the very realities they prophesied about. They looked forward to Christ. We know Him as crucified, risen, and exalted. They foretold the New Covenant. We have entered into it. They anticipated the indwelling Spirit. We live by His abiding presence. So if the believer is greater than Isaiah, it is not because we are greater people. It is because we possess, in Christ, what Isaiah himself eagerly anticipated. The New Covenant magnifies Christ and reveals the riches of what we now have in Him.

A matured person is not expected to walk around crawling in diapers. It’s either this grace empowers believers to grow and live morally upright lives or it doesn’t. Titus 2 v 12

Hypergrace adherents, do you disagree with this? If you don’t deny ungodliness will you still go to heaven?

@ApologiaNight @RasineIrem Denying all ungodliness, should the principle of your walk with Christ, if truly you've found grace, the measure or degree is irrelevant to the discusse, because scripture has put an imperative already, "denying ALL ungodliness"

@samjunyarts They sure can do apologetics. It's their niche, especially among young students. Formal debates is a different thing.

I think Cliffe Knechtle and Stuart knechtle should stop doing debates , they are too emotional ,can't predict or handle arguments well. They don't even know enough. Just stick to evangelism and preaching. Everyone cannot/should not be an apologist.
