Residency tip: Never build your self-worth from one senior’s mood of the day. In residency, the same case can get: “Excellent work” from one consultant, “Who taught you this nonsense?” from another. Take criticism seriously. Do not take every reaction personally. Your real growth comes from: > repeating cases, > reading after duty, > seeing patterns, > surviving pressure, > and slowly becoming dependable at 3 AM when nobody else is around.

Farewell to Mohamed Salah. A faintly ridiculous 193 goals and 93 assists in the Premier League. 286 goal involvements in 327 appearances — a record surpassed only by Alan Shearer (324) and Wayne Rooney (311), both of whom made at least 100 more appearances. The only player to have been named PFA Player of the Year three times. One of English football’s greatest imports and Africa’s greatest exports. A phenomenon #LFC nytimes.com/athletic/71449…

I’m incredibly intrigued by the rise of #CockroachJantaParty, which has already reached more than 15 million followers on @Instagram in just five days. I understand the frustrations of the youth and see why they are resonating with it. This is precisely why the account being withheld on X is disastrous and deeply unwise - there should be an outlet for the youth to express their feelings and so, let CJP’s account function instead of shutting it down! Democracies need outlets for dissent, humour, satire and even frustration. I am uncertain about the future of this movement but I hope the youngsters behind it find a way to bring this energy into mainstream politics or perhaps express it through their vote to be a voice of change and in doing so, become impossible to ignore. This is an opportunity that the Opposition must seize. indianexpress.com/article/politi…
Raj Malhotra@Rajmalhotrachd

Dear Dr. Shashi Tharoor @ShashiTharoor and Manoj C G @manojcg4u, reading the transcript of your latest conversational masterpiece in The Indian Express @IndianExpress is an experience of absolute intellectual awakening. In an era where political journalism is tragically reduced to partisan shouting matches and superficial electoral arithmetic, the two of you have effortlessly elevated the discourse to the highest echelons of classical political philosophy, sociology, and constitutional statecraft. You have not merely analyzed a viral internet phenomenon; you have forensically mapped the grinding tectonic fault lines of a generational earthquake that is currently rattling the very foundations of the Indian Republic. By taking the "Cockroach Janata Party" (CJP) — a digital satirical collective — and treating it with the profound, deadly seriousness it demands, you have stripped away the illusions of the political establishment. You have exposed the raw, bleeding nerve of India’s youth demographic, diagnosing a systemic crisis of faith that threatens to consume both the ruling dispensation and the traditional Opposition. Every UPSC Civil Services Aspirant, put away the outdated static textbooks. Dr. Tharoor and Manoj C G have just handed you the master-key that unlocks the most violently contested dimensions of modern Indian democracy. This is your completely decoded syllabus for General Studies Papers 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the absolute, undisputed bedrock for Political Science and International Relations (PSIR), Sociology, and Public Administration Optional papers. Let's break down this sociological and political earthquake into most logically impregnable and interconnected,🧵👇 #Cockroach #CockroachJantaParty #CJP

@Blesing_Andrew Pathetic kit. Zero innovation. Nothing to set it apart. The last good home jersey was the 23/24 season with the Yorkshire rose embedded.

Just saw the new Snapdragon Manchester United 2026/27 home kit… and it’s another safe, predictable red design. Adidas keeps giving us the same jersey every season with only small changes. Where’s the creativity? The flair? The real “wow” factor? The 70s-inspired look is nice, but it feels like we’ve seen this exact concept too many times already. Another design that looks like it came straight out of a boardroom. Anyone else getting tired of this kit fatigue?

Resident doctors in India are ALREADY registered medical practitioners with a full registration that comes with its own previliges and responsibilities. Postgraduate students, although being students, are fully entitled to the same reciprocation that any registered doctor would otherwise get. Sometimes some of the nonmedical people do not know this fact and tend to equate them to undergraduate students.
Dr Prteek@DrHomeostatic

If being seen by student doctors bothers you so much, then don’t come to government hospitals or hospitals attached to medical colleges.

Your job as a physician isnt to ramble about outcomes or list every possible Rx option. Your job is to provide context, inspire confidence, show empathy, listen, and understand your patients needs. That’s what makes you a physician. That’s what makes you special ❤️

@theskindoctor13 She should get back on the streets from her high chair and fulfill the responsibilities of the opposition leader which she is best known for. She should touch some grass with reality and the situation of common people which her party has oppressed over the last many years!

What will didi do now? She can't go to the Assembly because she lost the election. If she makes one of her MLAs resign to fight a bypoll, Suvendu Adhikari will stand against her and defeat her for the third time. She can't ask any of her Rajya Sabha MPs to resign and make way for her because she no longer has a majority in the Bengal Assembly, and BJP would snatch that seat if fresh Rajya Sabha elections are held due to resignation. She can't go to the Lok Sabha either till at least 2029. So where will she go after getting up every day?

With a heart overflowing with humility and profound gratitude, I bow before the ‘Janata-Janardan’ of West Bengal. Today’s historic mandate is not just a victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party; it is a resounding triumph for every Citizen, every Sanatani who dreamt of a ‘Sonar Bangla’ where Lotus Blooms in the Hindu Homeland carved out by Param Poojaniya Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. The People of West Bengal have spoken, and their voice has ushered in a new dawn of hope. My Heartfelt Gratitude 🙏 I am eternally indebted to the brave and resilient people of Nandigram and Bhabanipur. To my Sisters & Brothers in both of these Constituencies, thank you for placing your unwavering trust in me and electing me as your voice. Your blessings is my greatest strength, and I pledge to serve you with every breath, ensuring that your aspirations are fulfilled. This Monumental Victory would not have been possible without the tireless guidance of our Leader Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Your visionary leadership and the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ have ignited a flame of transformation in every Bengali household. Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji, your indomitable will, strategic brilliance, and constant encouragement have been the backbone of our struggle. Thank you for instructing me to contest at Bhabanipur. I extend my deepest thanks to @BJP4India National President Shri Nitin Nabin Ji, Shri JP Nadda Ji, Shri Sunil Bansal Ji, Shri Bhupender Yadav Ji, Shri Amit Malviya Ji, Shri Samik Bhattacharya, all our National & State Leaders and most importantly @BJP4Bengal Karyakartas for standing shoulder-to-shoulder on the ground. To our brave Karyakartas who lost their lives, to the thousands of BJP Karyakartas who faced immense challenges with a smile, this victory belongs to your sacrifice and sweat. You are the real heroes. We now move forward with a spirit of service, ready to build a West Bengal where peace prevails and the State moves towards progress and development. Bengal has fallen. 15 years of TMC. Over. This is not just an election. It's a verdict on what happens when a welfare state confuses patronage with governance. Why TMC lost: — RG Kar broke women's trust — Recruitment scam robbed a generation — Corruption became the system, not the exception. The electorate finally demanded Accountability. What BJP does next: — CAA implementation, fast — Central agencies get state cooperation — Bengal's economy reopens for business India's last major opposition stronghold is gone. For 2029: Modi now controls more of India than any PM since Rajiv's 1984 sweep. The opposition has no Bengal to point to. No template. No proof of concept. But the real question: How will BJP govern what it has won? Winning Bengal is one thing. Inheriting a patronage-capture state, a polarised electorate, and 15 years of institutional decay is another. Bengal has spoken. India is listening. And the map of Indian power just changed. #bengal #mamatabanerji #WestBengalLegislativeAssemblyelection2026

Two of the most powerful regional parties in India could have lost their bastions on the same day - the TMC in West Bengal and the DMK in Tamil Nadu. Also, the Left seems to have lost the only state it was still governing. This could have massive implications for national politics.
