Valve has updated its Steam pricing tools for developers.
They now offer three ways to set regional prices for games:
- Simple currency exchange rate
- Purchasing power parity (based on what people can actually afford)
- A mix of multiple data sources
For a $60 USD game, this can mean very different prices in other countries, like €51, €43, or €62 in parts of Europe.
The change is optional. Existing games stay the same unless updated.

seen a take here criticizing the resource scarcity of Wuling 1.1. i think it's intentional cause the devs want players to (1) slow down, (2) challenge you to optimize under scarcity, and (3) gives arknights players more breathing room to do episode 16 + new IS update
or since Wuling is not yet finished, then they want you to build as time goes. Unlike Valley IV, the whole region was complete. Wuling is still expanding

Marathon glaze has been really funny because every positive thing about it requires you to not understand anything about games.
Top 3 "not really true" things I've seen repeatedly are
A. This one, massive sales. In reality that is tracking recent sales. Nothing has come out for months and marathon is still losing to other games.
B. "It's so unique and new" is a common talking point but it's a by the numbers extraction shooter with nothing unique really going for it.
C. "If you just play it 50 hours straight you'll have a lot more fun." This has killed an actually good and unique game, Exoprimal. In reality if you need to play for the length of a full JRPG to begin to enjoy a game, why wouldn't I just use my money on something that I can enjoy immediately?
