@jack004 @Michael_J_Hil No problem! Also I wouldnt worry too much if you visit, although there has been a significant decline in pubs we have such a large amount that its not really an issue to find one.

@Apustaja_A @Michael_J_Hil 情報ありがとうございます。少し残念ですね。伝統的なパプにいつか旅行をする際に行ってみたいです。英国のパプは雰囲気があって魅力的です。

@jack004 @Michael_J_Hil Yes and no, The economy and especially Covid reduced the number of traditional pubs but plenty of them got turned into wetherspoons (a chain of pub resturaunts). If you want to have a pub experience at a decent price its still availible but most people prefer a traditonal pub.

@PrehensilePeen @swordposting You learn something new every day, thank you
English

@Apustaja_A @swordposting It's "pattern welding", which is different. And the Vikings did have the tech (it goes back to the Celts in the 1st century). Rich Norsemen had the money to pay for it.
A cheaper option (but still very pricey at the time), would be a sword with an iron core and steel edges.

English

@PrehensilePeen @swordposting Is that damascus steel or just looks similar? I didnt know the vikings had access to such high quality materials although I suppose they did move around a lot.

This is De Gaulle with his daughter, Anne, who had Down’s syndrome, on a beach in Brittany 1933.
He doted on her and she lived with him and his wife all her short life at a time when children with disabilities were regularly institutionalised.
She died of pneumonia in 1948 aged only 20. He carried a picture of her with him for the rest of his life. He was buried alongside her.
A tale of unconditional, unlimited love.

@MykhailoRohoza @afneil I’ve just been reading this morning about his love for his daughter who had Downs syndrome and who might have been hidden away in an institution in those days but wasn’t. “She is my joy.”

Name a single thing Hasan has accomplished, politically
Natalie Shure@nataliesurely
Hasan has great politics, rizz for days, and uses his platform to support on-the-ground political organizing, unions, anti-war movements. He’s the only streamer with a massive young male audience who isn’t a reactionary freak. His political credibility isn’t in doubt, yours is!
