@tuuu28283 That's correct. Most of us don't know why either.
English can difficult but through tough thorough thought you will understand it in time.

@tanpukunokami Someone who has been punched in the face countless times may not be the best comparison, but yes, it's true. Nose and ears seem to get bigger as we age.
English

Have you ever looked at an old photo and thought,
“Wait… has my nose gotten bigger?”
Apparently, this really can happen as we age.
There are three main reasons:
Facial bones shrink, which can make the nostrils appear wider.
Cartilage and ligaments weaken, causing the tip of the nose to droop.
The skin can thicken due to oil production and repeated inflammation.
This may be more noticeable in men because of hormones and oilier skin.
Regular exercise, enough sleep, less stress, and avoiding smoking, heavy drinking, and too much sugar may help slow these changes.
Have you noticed your nose changing with age?

@tanpukunokami There are so many people in English speaking countries that would jump at the chance to live and work in Japan and have a compatible culture. But they're going to get the worst of the worst.
English

Wait a minute.
In Kanagawa Prefecture, care service providers that plan to hire foreign students as future care workers can receive taxpayer-funded support for:
・Japanese language school tuition
・Care worker training school tuition
・Housing and living expenses
・Enrollment preparation costs
・Employment preparation costs
・National exam preparation fees
I understand that Japan has a serious shortage of care workers.
But many Japanese people who want to become certified care workers have to pay their own tuition, rent, and living expenses.
Why not first raise the wages and improve the working conditions of Japanese care workers?
For Japanese people: “Take responsibility for yourself.”
For businesses hiring foreign students: “We’ll support you with taxpayer money.”
Doesn’t this seem completely backwards?

@mymomcare @__0HOUR1_ He wanted to see her and the camera. That's just manners.
English

@tuuu28283 It was super confusing for me when I first went to Japan.
I out a pet bottle on the wrong bin and the Lawson clerk told me where to put it.
I was so embarrassed.

We were expecting Mitch McConnell's death immanently but he seems fine. Instead Lindsay Graham gets the Widowmaker. That's life, I guess.

@ReviewsPossum Delivery apps didn't do anything. She has so no self control and wants to create excuses for shit behavior.
English

Why do I feel like I will never see an article from a major news outlet sympathetic to a man blaming his alcoholism on delivery apps?
The Telegraph@Telegraph
What started as lockdown luxury quickly put Aisha Isenovic on a path to self-destruction. By her 30th birthday, she was round-the-clock drinker, getting through 400 units of alcohol a week. This is why Aisha thinks delivery apps played a major role in her addiction ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/07/1…

@japan_nobunaga I think the reaction is because your questions are genuine. Sometimes people ask questions about America to make negative judgments or for political reasons.
English

I gotta say...
I keep asking Americans questions about the U.S. because it's such a big country, and I genuinely want to understand it better.
Every single time, people jump into the replies with stories, facts, local history, recommendations... and they actually seem happy to share them.
It's honestly way more fun than reading a textbook or Googling.
In Japan, asking questions sometimes gets you, "Just look it up," or people make you feel dumb for not knowing.
Here, I ask one question and suddenly I've got hundreds of people teaching me something new.
ngl... I actually look forward to opening my replies every day.
Y'all are awesome.
