For the students graduating: Nobody wants to hire you. You don’t know how to manage, make decisions, or do any job. Your only advantage: Energy. Answer your emails 24/7 in 30 seconds. Respond to texts and messages instantly. And go find things to do! Your mindset: Any job you can get is a blessing. Nobody owes you anything. You have to prove yourself if you want to keep your job. Don’t be too proud for anything. Do the sweaty stuff!

I’ve got a theory. When people don’t create music art ideas anything… they start creating problems instead. Unused energy gets weird.

The 2000s were the opposite of brain rot. We were coding our MySpace profiles, jailbreaking iPhones, and pirating music on limewire for our mp3s.

Just gave a talk to 2,000 people today. 10 raised their hands; they've used agentic AI. 20% (maybe) knew what Claude was. You are earlier than you think you are... still.

This timelapse of Alex Honnold’s 1 hour 35 minute free solo climb of Taipei 101 is unreal. He said the main challenge was “not getting complacent up the bamboo boxes, because it’s 64 of the same sequence over and over.” His music playlist (mostly Tool) helped because each bamboo box took about the length of a song and he could keep pace. Honnold wants to climb other mega skyscrapers if allowed. Thinks Taipei 101 was the ideal challenge, though: “This one is so perfect for climbing. There are some buildings that are almost too easy for climbing. Like, ones that have a window washing track on the outside, where you’re just hand over handing on some track the whole way. You can climb it, but it’s not a challenge. The thing about Taipei 101 is it’s perfectly in the sweet spot for me, where it’s possible, and it’s not too insanely hard.” *** Post-climb intervie with Variety: variety.com/2026/tv/news/a… Timelapse: reddit.com/r/nextfuckingl…

Luck is a big part of your entrepreneurial career. But too many people actually get the opportunities and don't take them. Or they jump on the wrong ones. Keep your sails up. Never put your head down and stop being aware and willing to get after something.

One of the interesting things about business: Your ego can get in the way of good decisions. Here is an example: We sent an offer to a key employee at one of my companies 15+ months ago. He was the ideal person we needed at the perfect time to take our company to the next level. The initial calls went extremely well. He was unhappy with his company and he was PERFECT for us. He basically verbally committed and then changed his mind. So we sent a great offer and he told us he was ready to accept. Then 3 days went by with no word. Ghosting us. He emailed us that he decided to decline the offer at the last second because his employer offered him more money. We were pissed and my team was upset. It caught us totally off guard. Then a twist: Early the next week he came back saying he messed up and asked for another chance. My idea was to tell him no way. You missed the chance. See ya. Unprofessional. A member of my team I trust insisted that we should swallow our pride and make the hire. We still needed him and he was still a perfect fit. We did and extended the offer a second time. He has been one of the best hires we've ever made and has added a ton of value. He rebuilt the operations of our company. He built technology tools we couldn't live without today. He leads a team of 3 people. It was the best decision we could have made to give him a second chance. He is loyal. Eager to help. Works a lot when we have deadlines. We've given him a few raises already and some great bonuses. I truly think he will be at our company for a very long time. He enjoys our culture and is paid very well. The lesson: Swallow your pride sometimes and relax your "principals" or you might just miss out on something awesome. Your ego is the enemy. Being stubborn doesn't get you anywhere. If my team would have listened to me, the business would not be where it is today.

I convinced a close friend to get a heart workup: 35 years old. Ripped. Clean diet. Runs and works out all the time. 30% blockage at the top of his main artery. "widow maker". Would have had a heart attack in his 50s. ApoB around 110. LDL 120. Pharma will add 40 years to his life.
