Sheringham is doing what all of the other supposed legends of the club should be doing and using his voice. Would be good if the others followed suit and called the club out for the shambles it is #thfc

@devlin434 @ajb_79 @TsideSpurs Teddy never said "I'm staying" did he? unlike Judas. Teddy never went to Woolwich did he, unlike Judas. "The club weren't as ambitious as what I wanted them to be, I just felt that it was the right time for me to leave. I didn't know that United were going to come in for me."

Here's a list of the highest rated episodes. Anyone remember watching them all when they came out? 1. The Leap Home: Part 1 (S3E1, 9.3 rating) Sam leaps into his own 16-year-old self at Thanksgiving and tries to save his family from future tragedies while helping win a big basketball game. Lesser-known fact: Scott Bakula wore prosthetics and aging makeup to play his own father John Beckett in family scenes, it's one of the few times the show let Sam “see” his real adult self on camera. 2. Mirror Image (S5E22, 9.2 rating) In the series finale, Sam leaps into a bar on the exact day and hour of his own birth and finally confronts the mysterious force behind his leaps. Lesser-known fact: Nearly every patron and bartender in the bar was played by actors from previous episodes (in different roles), turning the finale into a subtle “greatest hits” reunion. Creator Donald P. Bellisario confirmed the bartender was meant to represent God or a higher power. 3. The Leap Home: Part 2 (Vietnam) (S3E2, 9.2 rating) Sam is now a soldier in Vietnam on the eve of his brother Tom’s death, desperately trying to change history while completing a dangerous mission. Lesser-known fact: The soldier Sam leaps into (“Magic”) was later brought back as a major character in the 2022 reboot series, creating a direct canon link 30+ years later. 4. The Leap Back (S4E1, 9.0 rating) After a lightning strike and electro-shock, Sam and Al literally swap places. Al physically leaps while Sam becomes the hologram for the first time. Lesser-known fact: This was one of the series’ biggest audience draws (14.1 million viewers), partly because it finally showed the Project Quantum Leap team (Gooshie, Tina, Ziggy) on-screen in detail. 5. M.I.A. (S2E22, 9.0 rating) Sam must stop a woman from remarrying while her husband is still listed as MIA in Vietnam, until he learns it’s Al’s own wife, Beth. Lesser-known fact: Creator Donald P. Bellisario wrote this personally (drawing from his own Vietnam-era military background) and considered it the emotional cornerstone that defined the Sam-Al friendship. 6. Shock Theater (S3E22, 8.9 rating) Sam leaps into a psychiatric patient undergoing unauthorized electro-shock therapy, causing his personality to splinter into characters from past leaps. Lesser-known fact: Scott Bakula’s tour-de-force performance (he plays multiple previous leap-ees in one episode) won him a Golden Globe. Many cast/crew say it was the most physically and mentally demanding episode he ever filmed. 7. Jimmy (S2E8, 8.8 rating) Sam leaps into a young man with Down syndrome who faces prejudice while trying to prove he can live independently. Lesser-known fact: The episode was praised at the time for its sensitive portrayal and actually influenced real-world discussions on disability rights. Guest star Brad Silverman (who played Jimmy) received fan mail for years from families in similar situations. 8. A Leap for Lisa (S4E22, 8.7 rating) Sam leaps into a young Al, who is wrongly accused of murder and rape by his commanding officer, putting their entire future friendship at risk. Lesser-known fact: When Sam fails to fully fix things, Al temporarily gets replaced by a very proper British hologram assistant. It's a one-time gag that fans still quote. 9. The Color of Truth (S1E7, 8.6 rating) Sam leaps into an elderly Black chauffeur in the segregated South and helps his employer finally confront racism after a life-or-death crisis. Lesser-known fact: This was one of the earliest episodes where the show fully leaned into serious social commentary. It boosted ratings by nearly 4 million viewers when it aired on a better night and proved the series could tackle heavy issues without losing its heart. 10. It’s a Wonderful Leap (S4E18, 8.5 rating) Sam leaps into a New York cab driver who accidentally hits a woman who claims she’s his guardian angel. This leads into a light-hearted but profound episode about faith and second chances. Lesser-known fact: The “angel” character was a deliberate departure from the usual format; the episode was written as a spiritual palate-cleanser after several heavy dramas, and the actress’s playful chemistry with Bakula made it a surprise fan favorite for rewatch value. ----------- Which episodes are missing that should be on this list? Happy Birthday, QL!

Quantum Leap premiered 37 years ago today. Scott Bakula debuted as Dr. Sam Beckett, jumping through time and inhabiting different lives, guided by Al (Dean Stockwell), to fix history’s mistakes, one leap at a time. It's one of the best sci-fi premises of all time. "Oh, boy."

Every time I hear from this bloke there seems to be a complete lack of acknowledgement that he started this league form decline. We'd had 16 seasons before that where our lowest league position was 8th.

🚨🎙️Ange Postecoglou when asked how he feels about #Tottenham’s ongoing struggles: "Not great, I still have a really strong attachment to the club. ‌ It was two years and they were by no means easy years, but we invested a lot into them. Second last game we won a European trophy which was an incredible high. The connection there will be there forever. To watch them struggle has not been easy and it’s not the way I thought it would go. They’re in a hell of a fight, relegation is massive for any club but for Tottenham, it’s a pretty big deal. ‌ They have some fighting to do and they have the quality to get out. They need a circuit-breaker for sure." @RyanTaylorSport

Actor Vince Vaughn calls out late-night comedians, says people like Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and others have all become the “SAME SHOW.” “It stopped being funny, and it started feeling like I was in a f*cking class I didn’t want to take.” THEO VON: “A lot of the late shows have struggled.” VINCE VAUGHN: “Oh, bro.” THEO: “Because… the only person they could make fun of at a certain point was just like white redneck kind of people. And it f*cking tanked [ratings].” VINCE: “I think that the talk shows, to a large part, became really agenda-based.” “They were gonna evangelize people to what they thought… It felt like they had an agenda.” “It stopped being funny, and it started feeling like I was in a f*cking class I didn’t want to take.” “They all became the same show.” “And they all became so about their politics and who’s good and who’s bad.” “Imagine sitting next to someone like that on a f*cking plane. You’d be like, how do I get out of this f*cking seat?” THEO: “I would FART right next to them.” VINCE: “You’d fart your way out of it?” THEO: “Yeah, I would. I would for sure.”
