@Aran_Lightning Because it's obvious that Jericho - and others who chose to sign with AEW - chose the money from a joke of a promotion instead of WWE or TNA. It's not that complicated, retard

@VentsLFCx I mean, a finishing move isn't necessarily the most impactful move you have, but the one you've 'mastered' and is therefore the strongest.

@Aran_Lightning Yeah tbf i realised they werent afterwards, i dont like when someones finisher looks way weaker than basically every other move theyve done the whole match but that happens in 90% of wrestling matches anyway

@uhvaimorre Word from her is that she isn't as interested in wrestling anymore, but who knows if that's just a function of her not being booked much.

@NotThatTomGreen The biggest question surrounding the Janel Grant is always going to be the extent to which other people were involved or were at least aware, as so often the incident gets reduced to 'Just Vince and Laurinitis' #1 and #3 suggest the rot runs quite deep.

If you can stomach it, there’s some new details in Janel Grant’s declaration that BJ lays out in this thread. Hope everyone chanting “We Want Vince” at these WWE shows really feels good about themselves.
B. J. Bethel@BJBethelTweets

From Janel Grant's declaration filing in support to her opposition to the arbitration motion. She alleges: 1. Brad Blum and Nick Khan were aware of her relationship with Vince. Blum figured it out while Khan was told by Vince.

@Slick_Flair91 There's a difference between a bad run of 3 months and 3 years. Jericho doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when he had a 3-year run of consistently hurting the TV show and dragging down everyone he was with.

@Aran_Lightning You’re trying to give me credit and take it away all at the same time. You admit for 4 months nobody liked it. But eventually people came around. I’m not arguing if people came around or not. I’m arguing that there was things on tv consistently that’s people didn’t like

@Slick_Flair91 People didn't like the Death Riders during the stretch from Jan to Early April, and so they were upset at Jon continuing to be featured. In the following months, people got more positive toward the Death Riders, so there aren't the same complaints about Mox's featuring. Simple.

@Aran_Lightning That’s not true because there was a stint where people didn’t like the Deathriders. I remember people really hating the idea of having the world title in a briefcase.

@Slick_Flair91 People don't like things that are bad taking up TV time, and they like things that are good taking up TV time. It's that simple. If you can't follow this basic thought, you shouldn't be complaining about other people's critical thinking.

Was Mox more enjoyable? Yes….comparatively. But that doesn’t negate TV time which WAS THE WHOLE REASON PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT JERICHO. I said if you don’t like him fine. But find another reason besides “he’s always on tv” . Yall just can’t think critically. It’s a shame

@phillyleotard0 It's funny, cause the entire thread is described as spitting bars, and it's just him giving the most unconvincing line deliveries ever. Spiritually plastic wrestler. The perfect Avatar for modern NXT.

New Japan Pro Wrestling has produced some of the greatest matches in the history of professional wrestling. On 9 October 2004, it produced one of its worst. It was a main event so shambolic that it became the defining symbol of the promotion's darkest period and one that people are still talking about over two decades later. A typhoon was battering the streets around Ryogoku Station, flooding the area and making travel a nightmare. None of that stopped 11,000 fans from packing the Kokugikan to the rafters. The atmosphere had been building nicely. Riki Choshu appeared during the intermission, planted himself in the centre of the ring and let the crowd chant his name before a confrontation with Yuji Nagata - Choshu dismissing him as "the man who let the world slip away" - turned the heat up. Jushin "Thunder" Liger joined the brawl. By the time the main event arrived, the building was alive. Then Kazuyuki Fujita defended the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Kensuke Sasaki - and it was all over in 2 minutes and 29 seconds. Fujita applied a waist-lock sleeper, lay back on the mat in identical fashion to an earlier sequence in the match, and referee Masao Tayama counted three, ruling Fujita's shoulders were down. No finishing hold. No drama. Just a bewildered Sasaki climbing the corner whilst the Kokugikan erupted in boos as the fans demanded refunds. Watching from ringside, holding the hand of her eldest son Kennosuke and carrying her second son Seinosuke, was Akira Hokuto - Sasaki's wife and one of the most decorated performers in the history of women's wrestling. The Demon Wife did not take it quietly. She kicked the table of New Japan president Seiichi Kusama, who had been sitting nearby smiling faintly throughout. In the locker room, she smashed the winner's trophy. "Don't look down on us because we are FREE agents!" She was still going the following day. "Usually, if it ends like that, you give an explanation in the ring or have an overtime match. You make it so the fans can be satisfied. Isn't that how it is in K-1 or PRIDE? The President of New Japan was just sitting at ringside smiling and didn't even try to move. If it were New Japan's own wrestlers, would you have left it like that? Someone like you should just quit." Matchmaking executive Fumihiko Uwai - who had flown from Kobe to Tokyo through a typhoon that morning after attending Shinsuke Nakamura's grandmother's funeral in Kyoto - arrived at the arena relieved he hadn't missed the show. He then thought better of visiting the locker room. "Because Kusama got kicked by Hokuto. If I had gone, since I'm the one responsible, Hokuto surely would have kicked me too." Guest commentator Yoshihiro Takayama, watching it all unfold on television, offered perhaps the most concise verdict of all. "This, however, is just no good." #njpw

After nearly a year of #AEWDynamite putting on its best streak of TV in years, which also coincided with Jericho no longer being on the TV, we bring him back. Incredible display of self-sabotage. There's always a price for anything good with AEW.
