Super excited to see our work published @jitcancer (bit.ly/3NwQjq8.)!! Congratulations to Nicolas, @benita_wolf1 and thanks to our great collaborators @GiancarloCroce8 @GfellerD Vincent Zoete in this #CARTcell paper for #myeloma (5/5).

Our study sheds light on common mechanisms underlying CAR T cell failure in #myeloma when targeting BCMA and helps to devise new strategies for the development of more efficient treatments (4/5).

Big thanks to @benita_wolf1!! We developed novel live cell #lightsheet imaging using label free dies to study single T cell tumor cell interactions and #immunesynapse (3/5).

Both dual antigen-targeted natural ligand CARs (APRIL CARs) as well as clinically used single-chain variable fragment or heavy-chain only based CARs led to rapid downmodulation of BCMA on #myeloma. Downmodulation was due partly to trogocytosis and mostly to internalization (2/5).
