This guy was literally begging for his life and willing to cooperate with the authorities. But No, ASP Usman Nuhu had other plans. ASP Usman was said not to be on duty on the day of this incident but somehow got to know and rushed down to the park just to execute this young guy. I strongly believe ASP Usman was concealing some evidence that made him kill this guy in such a cruel manner. This is not just Police brutality, this is as a result of a failing nation. A country where human life hold no meaning, where the authority who ought to protect you will tell you "I go kill you and nothing go happen". If they will ever be any protest again, EndSAR of 2020 will be childs play.

What if, just what if. Lets consider the possibility that the officer committed an extra-judicial killing to obstruct justice and cover his own tracks, as this level of summary execution is inconsistent with standard law-enforcement. Even bandits and terrorists never get this kind treatment.

Back in my university days, 100 level, 2013, life in the hostel was something else. We were three guys squeezed into one tiny room, but somehow that room became the headquarters of friendship people were always trooping in and out. If you were looking for gist, laughter, or food, na our room be the spot. Most nights, we’d gather to yarn, joke, and throw playful insults you know how guys can be. And to be honest, na me usually dey fall victim of that yab (teasing). Everybody go laugh, I go laugh too, life moves on. But one particular night, tables turned. One of my roommates mistakenly became the target. That night, I seized the golden opportunity. I didn’t just tease him small I insulted the living daylight out of the guy. I carried the joke on my head like trophy. The whole room was filled with laughter, people were almost rolling on the floor, and my guy just dey there collecting premium embarrassment. I felt like the champion of comedy that night. Little did I know say revenge was loading… quietly. 😅 The next day, this same roommate cooked a big pot of rice and stew. The aroma alone could make person confess sins. He even invited guests to come chop. Plates were flying everywhere, people were eating, praising the food… but me? I was completely ignored. I thought maybe na joke. But guy maintained the punishment. He refused to serve me food not for one day, but for two solid days straight. And the painful part be say he knew my survival in that room depended heavily on him and his cooking skills. That was the day I learned a very important lesson in hostel life: If person dey cook for you regularly, respect yourself when you dey do night jokes. 😂
