how is it hard to believe? yeah, women were pushed out of jobs at the end of WW2 and pressured to return to domesticity. what else is a person going to do when they have no real means to financially support themselves through life besides attach themselves to someone else who can? is your ideal solution to raise birth rates that women have their ability to work for a living hampered so that they remain reliant on finding a husband to provide the money that they need to live? or that we still get to work, but we fund male-only handouts with our taxes?

it seems hard to believe and a political impossibility to do on purpose but all the data we have suggests "male-only economic stimulus" is a plausible way to raise birth rates like no other which is what happened incidentally after WW2 with GI bill and similar benefits
