this is all rooted in a gargantuan misunderstanding of mega evolution lore and "infinity energy" in the first place eternatus and terapagos directly manipulate said energy, hence the shared motifs. xerneas and yveltal are separate from megas entirely

Amplifying this cause I didn't see anyone mention tahk0's best argument: In the video, he theorizes the XY shapes come from mega evolution being directly linked to the X and Y shaped legendaries. Just like Dynamax has direct visual motifs from Eternatus and Tera from Terapagos.

my main gripe with friendram i think is the characterization. eram seems like such a directly malevolent manipulating force, and it doesn't even seem like it's *trying* to convince kris at all. literally just playing around with them, but friend is atleast hinted to be tempting

@SeaWolfMikes my man you have always needed multiple games for vgc teams. Go look at most top 4 worlds vgc teams and most of them will have pokemon that require multiple games to get or game exclusive move tutor moves. At least Earthquake isn't once per save now
