Just crunched all the numbers... In 2025 as an indie author I sold: • 1,435 paperback copies • 151 ebooks • 35 audio books • 76,476 KDP pages read Not only did I break even but I actually made a profit! This is the best year I've ever had! I'm beyond ecstatic!

Strayed from the path doesn’t begin to cover how a private equity new owner has trashed and cheapened what used to be quality food. From a 1991 start at the farmers market, Stonewall Kitchen now proudly uses bioengineered and genetic engineered “food”. No thanks. Hard pass!

@stephenRB4 Perhaps we all need to agree the younger generation is too easily offended? All generations for millennia prior, and I suspect, centuries ahead, don’t deserve participation awards just for existing. The hard-working full stop can be at the end of their long list of grievances.

Just been informed that using a full stop/period in posts is viewed by some of the younger generation as being passive-aggressive. This has placed me in an obvious quandary. To promote my business as a professional editor, I have to make sure that my posts are always grammatically correct. However, I’m now being told that in doing so I could be offending people. To full stop or not full stop? That is the question. All advice much appreciated. Here endeth the post. Period.

Publishing isn’t one door. It’s a hallway full of doors: trad, self, small press, or a mix...You don’t have to walk the same one everyone else does.
