Apart from the ☦️ in their bios, the online OrthoBros are indistinguishable from the DawahBros.

Cleave is not telling the truth here. Surprising? Not really. I only recently became aware of him, but from what I’ve seen already, he publicly bore false witness against Radar Apologetics by accusing him of being a Judaizer who teaches that a person must keep the Mosaic law in order to be saved (see here: youtu.be/tX1HTv-Mzk4?t=…). This is completely false. Radar does NOT believe this. Mind you, all of this is in the context of a false accusation circulating about Avery, that he raided a stream where people were attacking Orthodoxy. Avery still maintains, as he always has, that he does not attack Orthodoxy, Catholicism, or Protestantism, nor does he promote attacks against them. This is also connected to another ugly and false accusation that Avery is a grifter, and that his motivation for being ecumenical is to make money. Then Cleave represents me as saying, "Andrew Wilson said a 'no no' word! Therefore he has bad fruit!" when all I did was ask if Andrew viewed the things I questioned him on as sinful, and depending on how he answered (he didn't) I would have followed up. (Simply see my post: x.com/JaiNDoC_RL/sta…) He also made the completely evil, bizarre insinuation that I am part of some group that depicts Orthodox nuns as demons and calls for their deaths. I have never been part of any such group in my life. God forbid! In fact, I have aunts who are/were nuns. So this is not only false, it is a disgustingly evil thing to attribute to someone, someone you don't even know. Why would anyone who loves and fears God speak so carelessly and make such a wicked and false accusation against another person? In regard to what AP said in the screenshot, I’m going to assume he already knows this, given the pattern of misrepresenting people, but he is portraying AP as if he currently holds to this or it represents some "group". He doesn't. He has publicly repented of it and said it was wrong. (See here: x.com/ApostateProphe…) I genuinely have zero desire to interact with this guy. I just wanted to make this post for the record. May the Lord Jesus have mercy on us all.

If you’re going to promote something so foolish, I feel like you should be brave enough to publicly defend it. This is why a lot of people want nothing to do with Christianity. If it doesn’t matter what you believe or what church you go to why not just be Muslim? Atheist even?
Jay Dyer@JayDyer

Avery & IP admit they DONT CARE. They advocate for ecumenism and going to whatever church you want or even making up your own lol. Now why wont either of them come publicly, formally debate me on this topic?

@JaiNDoC_RL Jai should someone watch sermons on YouTube as their worship and read the bible or go to an orthodox church kiss the icons of the mother of God and eat the real body and blood of Christ as their worship?

Because you brought “fruit” into the public discussion, I think it is reasonable to ask some direct questions about your own faith as well. This is not about whether Orthodoxy is true. It is about how we should understand you personally, are you living in unrepentant sin? You are free not to answer, but if you do, your answers would help clarify how we should view/approach you as Christians. These are just based on what I saw of you yesterday: 1) Do you believe that Jesus is Lord; and try to love and honor Him as such, and desire Him to be Lord over every area in our lives? 2) Regarding cussing, do you view it as sinful and as a vice you're trying to overcome? 3) Regarding smoking, do you acknowledge it is sinful to smoke cigarettes, and view it as a vice you're trying to overcome? In regards to comparing your charitable deeds with David/AP/etc, I'd recommend reading the following: “1 Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly." (Matthew 6:1-4). Do you think that this passage applies to publicly stating how much charity you give and how much you financially support churches? And if so, do you believe you violated the words of Jesus by parading your charitable deeds?
Andrew Wilson@paleochristcon

I would be willing to bet that I give more direct charity and support more churches than the entire mainstream non denominational Wood/AP alliance combined. But I do cuss.

If you think that you should have a private event at the church, use the sanctuary and hall, have a priest, chanter and sexton present and someone come clean up afterwards and $250 is too much to ask, you are the problem.

"This is worse than 9/11!" Fox Business host Larry Kudlow throws a fit over opposition to the war on Iran and people turning against Israel, compares Iranian protesters being killed to the Holocaust. "How can a political party oppose this?!" he says of the Iran War. "This is worse than 9/11, in a sense!" "It's not really worse than 9/11—because we lost almost 3,000 people—I don't want to go down that road," he says, catching himself. "But, everyone was united in defense and patriotism of the United States. It's gone now!" "And how can people all of the sudden turn against Israel?! A democracy! Our best friend for so many years! How is this possible?!"

UOJ - America@UOJ_America·
Every year at the celebration of Jesus Christ’s paschal victory over sin and death, well-meaning Christians post memes and messages turning the Gospel into a joke. They are discussing St. John 20:3-4: “Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.” Some go so far as to call it “the most low key petty verse in the Bible” or “a Gospel diss” that proves “these were ordinary people, for who[m] God did extraordinary things.” Alas, these sentiments are not confined to random anonymous accounts on the internet. Some of the most popular evangelical Christian teachers in America engage in this memelord exegesis.

Protestants are making a nothingburger out of a minimal fee many Greek Churches have because baptisms are usually large celebrations, not empty “symbols.” This covers baptismal robe, candles, perhaps icons, and the celebration feast after. Many churches simply ask for a donation. This is nothing, btw, compared to most fundie churches which demand 10% tithe whereas most orthodox churches leave it all voluntary. This is just more ignorant moral gotchas because they have no intellectual arguments for their sects.

@JayDyer Imo this is just ratifying the norm. It's the godparents who pay and that's just customary. A change can be made for adults of course but even if the 250 fee wasn't there Godparents would still pay probably more then that because it's custom
