If you are a school leader, please can I recommend my Guidance and template AI Policy for Schools? It's over on LinkedIn and is available for all schools to use. See linkedin.com/posts/educatio…

@garyhenderson18 Yes! This! I did a presentation last week to headteachers- explained the difference between algorithm and AI & how the term was being used as marketing hype. It is so unfair as the recipient ends up with a sort of cognitive dissonance about what they see and what they are told

@garyhenderson18 @garyhenderson18 as ever, a voice of reason. I am having lots of "is it me" moments recently where algorithms are being described as AI. It's unhelpful and misleading. Tell me I'm not alone?!

If you are a member of school staff & are asked to help the school implement Multi Factor Authentication (MFA or 2FA) and you are wondering why... please read this Securing the Digital Classroom: Why Teachers Must Embrace Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) linkedin.com/pulse/securing…

@TheABB I find it absolutely APPALLING that 16-18 year olds have to pay to get to school or college.

School transport is a nightmare since it is all outsourced to private companies now — plus it wasn’t adjusted to include 16-18 when the compulsory age was increased. School children’s public transport is one of the first things I’d fully fund if I were Minister for a day.

What is the policy if a child in school uniform tries to board a bus & they have insufficient funds @TfL ? Twice in the past week I have witnessed children being rejected from boarding a bus and I’ve intervened twice & offered to pay the fare. They are CHILDREN going to school 😡

@accidentalSBM @pullin_jennifer @No9JulesR You wouldn't necessarily need to go back to trombone either, you could choose another instrument. There is almost certainly a brass band near you that would even lend you an instrument.

@accidentalSBM @pullin_jennifer @No9JulesR Oh my gosh!! Do it!! I didn't play for over 20 years and it was such a thrill to go back to playing. I really have a long way to go, but it makes me so happy.

As a child, I remember the earlier strikes. The chaos. The fallout. I remember, later, being in the 1st year to take the ‘new’ GCSE, the local controversy re our geography coursework focusing on opencast mining. I remember a lot. But, here, for now, just listen #community #music

Means nothing to anyone, but I just did a tape change without panicking or getting upset. A mishap post op meant my anxiety around medical things, even tape change which is something I have done often, got a lot lot worse. But I’m slowly getting better😊

@suchfun57 @Alex_Bramley3 There's a school I visited that had made an amazing historical display in the middle of their school. I can't remember which one it was now, and I'm kicking myself as I would tell you to look at their display (I think it's near your new school Alex)

@Alex_Bramley3 @Archibfam I was ht of a first school in Bradford in 90s....my absolute JOY was to continue adding to the original logbook, from mid 1800s....a delight to read! Gave it to west yorkshire archives when the school closed due to reorganisation

This summer I’ve decided I can’t use being alone as an excuse to not do anything for 6 weeks so I’m going to be doing day trips all summer. Where is your favourite place in the UK? Where would you visit just for a day? I need as many suggestions as possible!
