NOM & @OSMedSupplies have just finished our joint report detailing the open source maker community response to COVID. More than 42,000 individuals produced over 48 million units of supplies in months, creating an entire open source medical supply design ecosystem from scratch!

Best thing about this I that thanks to reclaiming most of the wood, and having access to my friendly neighborhood @Area515DSM Makerspace, instead of paying $200-500, I’ve spent less than $100 on materials, and only need ~$30 worth of dowels to make the 2nd.

We are looking for someone who can run PVC sheets through a vinyl cutter for face plates on the shields. Or get a die made to cut them. PETG is getting hard to come by. PVC is plentiful, but not laserable. #DesMoinesFightingCovid

@jpriley @Diterex @joeltelling You can drop parts at our shop! We are working with both Polk County and a wider ad hoc distribution network with @NewBoCo to get them distributed. We're going to need a lot of the bottom brackets soon. We're getting over 3.5k of injection molded top pieces tomorrow.
